27 members of Summerhill College Kayak club lined up at the Grammar school for the annual Call of The Wild school competition. The award ceremony was an emotional one with Alex McGourty's parents and younger sister awarding the overall winners with Alex's own racing boat (specially refurbished for the event) to use for training during the year. Rory McVeigh accepted the award on behalf of Summerhill College. We would like to express again how much this award means to us and how grateful we are for the support that the McGourtys have given to our sport in Sligo.
