As part of the St Vincent de Paul Youth for Justice project TY4 have been visiting residents in the Nazareth House on a weekly basis since October. Students would visit every week on a Tuesday afternoon to play games of bingo, cards and to chat with the residents. On Tuesday 11th of December students went for their final visit as part of this module. Students told Christmas stories, recited Christmas poems and told Christmas jokes to residents while sharing some sweet treats. This project is one which has enriched both our TY students and the residents they were visiting and reminded us of the importance of looking after the elderly in our society. Many thanks to Nazareth House for facilitating these visits.

On Thursday 6th of December our 1st year students got to attend a Christmas Carol Service organised by the LCA students in the school with the assistance of the Chaplaincy and Music departments. TY students participating in the Pope John Paul II Award brought the 1st year students through the story of the nativity and reflected upon the meaning of this story in our modern world. Our choir provided some beautifully sung Christmas carols. The oldest two students in the school, twins Oskar and Kacper, turned on our Christmas tree lights while our youngest student, Darwin, placed the baby Jesus in the Crib.
