2nd year trip to Ferrycarrig

Dear 2nd year students, Parents and Guardians, This is just a quick reminder that the trip to Ferrycarrig is tomorrow. All 2nd years should go to tutor time as usual for roll call, before getting on the bus. Even though masks are no longer mandatory on the bus, it is strongly advised that students wear a mask on the bus tomorrow, given that the journey will take 1 hour and 20 minutes. The weather is due to be good, but just in case, students should bring a change of clothes. They will also need a packed lunch. I hope everyone has a great day! Mr Delahunty

Minor D Hockey Final

Congratulations to our Minor D Hockey Team who won their Leinster Semi final today against Beaufort. Their final will be played on Tuesday 8th of March in Three Rock Rovers at 10.30. All 2nd Yr Students will attend to support and be brought to and back on buses. The entry fee and bus charge is €6 per student and the payment can be made through the school app. We look forward to getting out and cheering them all on.

Hannah has been selected to represent her school - Loreto College Foxrock in the Leinster Schools Interprovincial (Interpros) team at the Irish School's Interprovincial meet 2022 on March 20th in the National Aquatic Center. Well done Hannah. What a great achievement to be selected to represent your school, all in Foxrock are very proud.

Well done to our Senior A Hockey team who beat Muckross today in the Leinster League Semi Final. The team played an incredible match and won out on 1v1s in sudden death. Looking forward to the Leinster Final on Friday March 11th in Three Rock Rovers @ 2.
Place available on 5th Year Classics & Art Trip to Room

Dear Students/Parents/Guardians, A single place on the 5th year Classics and Art trip to Rome has recently become available. The cost would be the same as for other students at €714 - no extra cost to change the name on the ticket. The payment would need to be made quite soon, however, as museum and accommodation bookings are being made in the next two weeks. The trip will be from the morning of Thursday the 28th of April to Sunday the 1st of May. An outline of the itinerary of the trip is attached above. The costs include flights, accommodation, museums, breakfast, dinner, transport, and insurance (including cover for catching Covid). The only extra costs will be for lunch, some contingency money, shopping money, and a small accommodation tax for the hotel. If you are interested in attending, please have your parents email, myself (Mr. O' Sullivan) at sosullivan@loretofoxrock.ie and Ms. Regan at dregan@loretofoxrock.ie by 10.30 this evening to confirm your interest. If we have more than one interested, we will do a lottery of the names to decide who gets the place on the trip. I will then contact those interested to let them know the results. There are only five weeks left to the Leaving Certificate Oral exams. Extra classes will be held on Tuesday lunch times between 1.15 and 1.55,Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 8am to 8.50 and Thursdays after school at 4.oo to 5.15 in room F5. If there are any students who feel that they would prefer a one to one as they may not feel happy in a group please contact me directly and i will make sure that you will not fall behind.
