TY CAT 4 Tests

Reminder to TY parents that CAT4 testing will take place for all TY students either tomorrow 24 March or on the 30th March 2022 Please ensure that their daughters have their device fully charged. 2nd Yr GAA Match

There is a match tomorrow Thursday 24th of March for the 2nd Yr GAA team and a small number of 1st Yr Students in SIlverpark at 12. Students will leave school at 11 and walk to silverpark grounds. Students will return to school straight after and have their lunch before returning to class. If your daughter has been asked to play please fill out a permission to leave form on the school app from 11-2. Students will be provided with jerseys and can wear their own shorts with Loreto Foxrock socks. A gumsheild must be worn!
Home Ec Practical Exam

The Department of Education has informed us that the Junior Cycle Home Economics Food Skills Examination will be examined the week of April 25th or May 2nd. This is the practical cooking element of the Home Economics exam and is worth 50% of the overall grade for the student. In preparation for this exam we will be holding a practice/trial during the weeks of Monday 28th & April 4th. Your daughter has been informed of the day & time that her practice will be held. We would be grateful of your support particularly this year as your daughter has not had as much cooking time in school as usual due to Covid. Could you please encourage them to practice their dishes at home over the next few weeks? There maybe extra ingredients needed for their selected dishes and perhaps a special serving dish which they may ask for. While this experience maybe stressful for some students we will try to encourage and support all our Home Economics students and try to make this a positive, learning experience for them all. Dear TY Students, Parents and Guardians Just a few short notices to draw your attention to: 1. The TY French and Spanish language tours is taking place on the 23rd March - ALL TY students are expected to take part, even if studetns are not part of the French/Spanish class - they too will join in the fun, Please follow the directs already published regarding tomorrow's activities. 2. Musical Notice - To ALL TYs participating in the musical - please ensure that you arrive to Saturday's rehearsal in FULL COSTUME with the appropriate footwear where possible, (especially the Bohemian Cast), 3. The whole of TY will be travelling to the Giant's Causeway on Monday 28th March. If you know that you will be be able to particpate in this trip please make direct contact with me by Thursday 24th March 2022. Have a great week. Ms Early 4. 1st Yr Parents Coffee Morning

Dear Parents / Guardians, A reminder that all 1st Yr Parents are invited to school tomorrow at 9.15 to join us for a coffee morning hosted by our Parents Association. Please enter through the main school reception and from here you will be directed to the canteen. Our 5th Yr Students will be giving tours of the school at 10 a.m. for any parents who would like to see the inside of the school buildings. We look forward to welcoming you all in the morning.
TY Language Trips - Wednesday March 23rd

The French and Spanish Departments have arranged that all TY students will be heading in Dublin city centre tomorrow morning. Students are to come to school as normal to attend tutor time for roll call and then meet in the Concert Hall at 9am. Ensure that you are wearing correct school uniform, bring your Leap Card with you for the bus into town, that you have your phone fully charged and that you travel in groups (no-one on their own). Take care to be at your meeting point on time. Students will make their own way home at the end of the morning's activity. Students on the French trip please note that the National Gallery requires all visitors to wear a mask for the tour. We hope everyone enjoys the day!

Dear TY Students, TY Parents and Guardians I hope that you have all enjoyed the extended bank holiday weekend. Please see attached an up date of TY Activities over the upcoming weeks. TY's you will notice that tomorrow you will be taking part in Konor Halpin's Circus Skills Workshops. Please ensure that you wear your LCF PE uniform, bring water with you to the workshop. In order to accommodate the timing of the workshop - 4R you will have a short lunch break - 30 minutes instead of 45 minutes and 4O you will note that you will have a later morning break at 12pm.
