As a WellRead school, we are encouraging everyone in our school commmunity to get involved in Ireland Reads on February 25th. One minute, ten minutes, an hour, or more – it doesn’t matter how long you read for or what you read!
You can take the pledge to "squeeze in a read" at this link www.irelandreads.ie/. Looking for suggestions for things to read? Check out the lists on the BorrowBox app or call into your local library. The choices are endless!
Ireland Reads (a public libraries initiative, in partnership with Healthy Ireland, publishers, booksellers, authors and others) takes place on Thursday, February 25th this year. This national day to celebrate reading invites people of all ages to get reading. Why? Because taking some time for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy (like reading) is important to help look after your mental wellbeing.
Happy Reading!
Your WellRead Committee
Take the pledge below and see how many minutes people all over Ireland will be reading for on February 25th.
