Junior B Hockey Final

Congratulations to our Junior B Leinster hockey champions and to our gallant supporters who braved dreadful weather conditions in Three Rock Rovers today. If you are in a position to leave any dry clothing up to the school for your daughter we will gladly pass them on. Please put clothes in a labelled bag and leave at reception. The school will be providing hot drinks to all students on their return to school.

Are you between 15 and 17 years old and would you love to be a writer some day? Or, are you already one? Applications are now open for the Edna O’Brien Young Writers Bursary 2022. MoLI offers an annual five-day, immersive, blended learning programme to 15 talented students around Ireland. Throughout the programme, participants are mentored through a creative writing project by one of Ireland’s leading writers and meet with publishers, authors, literature academics and fellow writing enthusiasts. This year’s mentor is Colm Keegan, an award winning writer and poet from Dublin. The Edna O’Brien Young Writers Bursary welcomes applications from young writers from all over Ireland, and actively encourages applications from a diversity of ethnic or cultural groups including, but not limited to, Asian, Black, Traveller and minority ethnic, refugees, people with disabilities, working-class and LGBTQI+. They are not looking for polished, finished pieces of writing, or writers with large amounts of experience. They are interested in hearing about you, your passion and your creativity. TY Musical Ticket Information

This year’s TY musical “We Will Rock You” show will take place over four nights: Monday the 4th of April – Thursday the 7th of April. Next week all students will be given the opportunity to pre book tickets and request the musical night of their choice. We have been given 150 tickets per show which will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with all information collated by an assigned group of 3rd years. The request for payment for these pre-booked tickets will go up on the school app on Tuesday the 22nd of March with all payments to be made by Friday the 25th of March, after which any pre-booked tickets will be released again for general booking. All pre-booked and purchased tickets will be given out in school to the girls during the week commencing the 28th of March so that all families will have their allocated tickets the weekend before the musical commences. The price per ticket will be €15 or €50 for four tickets, a 50c administration fee will be applied to the school app to cover the app company’s fee for facilitating the collection of the money. Please note this is a free seating event.

Dear 4R and 4E Tomorrow you will be heading to the IMC in Dun Laoghaire to see the film Belfast. You will be making your own way to the IMC Cinema in Dun Laoghaire for 13.10 roll call. You will need to bring your Leap Card and your lunch with you. Ye will be making your own way home from Dun Laoghaire, please wear masks on the bus. The film is 98 minutes long so may go over the 4pm. You will be leaving class at 12.30 and not a minute before. Nobody is to be late - remember snack buying is not an essential activity for the movie. I will see ye tomorrow before you head off and resolve any problems that might arise. Enjoy Ms Early

Dear 4O Tomorrow is your last day with Outdoor Pursuits and you will be going to GoQuest - Indoor Adventure. Please wear your PE uniform, bring lunch, water and your Leap Card. Ye will be leaving school during lunch time to be at GoQuest Carrickmines for 2pm. The adventure activities will take approximately 1.5-2 hours so may be back in school a little after 4pm. Supporters Junior B Final

All 3rd Yr Students will travel to Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club on Friday for the Junior B Hockey Leinster Final. Students will leave school at 10 and return for their 12.15 class. The entry fee and bus charge will be in the school shop section on the app.
1st / 4th / 5th / 6th Yr Supporters for Leinster Final

All 1st/4th/5th and 6th Yr Students will travel to Fridays Senior A Hockey Leinster Final. Students will have an early lunch from 12.45-1.15 and then leave school on buses and travel to Three Rock Rovers for a 2pm start. Students will then be brought back to school before school ends at 4. All students from these years will travel with their teachers so there will be no supervision available in school. The charge for both the entry fee and bus will be put up on the school app in the shop section.
