Dear 1st year students, Parents and Guardians, I hope you have enjoyed the mid-term. This is just a quick reminder that the trip to Ferrycarrig is tomorrow. All 1st years should go to tutor time as usual for roll call, before getting on the bus. The new Covid guidelines mean that masks are no longer mandatory. However, it is strongly advised that students wear a mask on the bus tomorrow, given that the journey will take 1 hour and 20 minutes. I hope everyone has a great day! Mr Delahunty

Covid Restrictions March 2022

Dear Parent or Guardian I hope you and your families are enjoying the mid-term break. The Government have announced the lifting of many restrictions for schools in relation to Covid-19: Many of the changes that were put in place in school were managed over the summer of 2020 and as such will take some time to unravel. From Monday the following will be in place in school: Uniform - as classrooms will still require ventilation, tracksuits may still be worn until March 16th & will be reviewed then. Masks - Masks are no longer mandatory in school, but any student wishing to continue to wear one may do so. However masks are advised on buses. Bus companies may set their own rules. Social Distancing - rules regarding social distancing are no longer in place. Reminders: We ask students to continue the good habits they have developed around hand hygiene and sanitising of desks etc. If students have symptoms of Covid - 19, they should not attend school. Please continue to inform us of any students who have tested positive for Covid 19. We will continue to advise as best we can. Other changes in school will be gradual. Students will continue to be classroom based, but classroom layouts can be more varied now. We welcome the changes as it is vital that students now begin to experience more normal social settings and activities within school. It has been a long road for all of the school community and I wish to thank you for your ongoing co-operation as we now progress towards a more traditional school setting. We kindly ask for you patience as we do this. Kind regards Bernadette Prendiville
