A big congratulations to all our Leaving Cert students who got their results today. You should all be very proud of yourselves...we certainly are! This cohort of students navigated the uncertainty of the Covid era magnificently over the last two years, staying focused and ultimately sitting their exams in June. The results that arrived today are testament to the girls' determination, resilience and the hard work of students and staff alike. There were a phenomenal number of 625s and 613s and many, many individual successes across the board. Congratulations to all!

Hockey Update

There will be hockey training for any 5th and 6th year students who would like to play on the 3's and 4's teams this Thursday after school. Also, all senior 4th year hockey players have training after school this Thursday. There will be hockey training this Saturday for all junior and minor hockey players. All students who turn 16 before the 1st of January are senior players and all students who turn 16 after the 1st of January are junior players. The google classroom codes will be up on the hockey notice board in the GPA, so please check the board and sign up to the relevant classroom. Reminder: Please bring a white t-shirt to training. Thank you
2022 BTYS Competition

Any students interested in representing the School at the 2022 BTYS competition are asked to make contact with Mr Farrelly ASAP to discuss their ideas as the deadline for applications is fast approaching. Last year three groups qualified for the competition with two groups being placed, 3rd and Highly Commended within their respective categories. This year we want to build on that success. The competition is a brilliant way of making new friends not only within OLS but also students from different schools. Students also acquire new skills which are hugely beneficial to their development such as public speaking, communication, digital literacy and are able to develop their own Science understanding which is critically important moving forward.

Today we welcomed our 1st Years back again for their Induction where they got a chance to familiarize themselves with the school and their new class groups. We also welcomed back our 2nd and 4th Years for their induction. We will see all students in for a normal school day tomorrow. Please note that 1st Years will start at 9am just for tomorrow. We can't wait to see what's to come this year for you all.
