A huge well done to Laoise Kelly and Sadhbh Ni Shúilleabháin who represented Our Lady's wonderfully at the Safer Internet Day at Microsoft today. The event was organised by Webwise and the girls led a Q&A session on the opportunities and challenges of algorithms, Artificial Intelligence and influencers. The Minister for Education Helen McEntee was present and equally impressed on how well the girls spoke! You did OLS proud!
Congratulations to our cross country team who did OLS proud in the Leinster Schools' finals today. Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
As part of our guidance programme for Transition and 5th Year students, the Guidance Department and the Parents’ Council are planning on holding a Careers Expo on Wednesday 30th April 2025 from 6.30 - 9pm.
The purpose of this event is to allow our students the opportunity to meet and talk to people from a number of different professions in order to assist them with their career research. We are asking for the assistance of parents to help facilitate this event. Participation in this event would involve discussing your career with a number of individual students during the evening. Further details will be provided to parents who volunteer to take part.
If you are interested in being involved in our careers evening on 30th April 2025 or in being included in a database for possible future career events in Our Lady’s School, please reply, by email, to parentscouncil@olschool.ie providing your name, telephone number, email address and career area.
Many thanks for your support and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
Yours sincerely,
Fionnuala Bannan & Lesley Porter (Guidance Department)
Julie O’ Driscoll & Bevin Humphreys (Parents’ Council)
