Thank you to the 5th Year Le Chéile Council for organising a St. Brigid's cross workshop during the week which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students who took up the challenge!

The Chinese class in TY facilitated a fabulous celebration of the Chinese New Year, showcasing cultural performances, foods, costumes and crafts!

The TYs were also busy at the cinema, doing drama workshops, writing workshops and preparing for Work Experience next week - we wish them the best!

Shane Carthy, former Dublin GAA star, addressed a group this morning about mental health challenges and how he approaches his own struggles with depression. It was an insightful and valuable perspective for the students to hear.

A reminder to families that school is closed on Monday!

Finally, our Senior Camogie Team is competing in the Senior All Ireland B Series Semi Final for the first time this Saturday. The girls will be playing against Mercy Roscommon. The game is taking place in Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon at 12pm. A huge achievement to get this far, best of luck girls!

Great sporting action this week in OLS.

Well done to the cross country team who braved the wind and rain on Thursday to represent OLS in the West Leinster Schools' cross country finals. Each athlete showed determination to complete the course in challenging conditions. Well done to Maria Clarke and Lucy O'Neill who finished in the top 10 in their races and congratulations to Ruby Farrelly who was the convincing winner of the Junior girls race. Best of luck to Maria, Lucy and Ruby in the upcoming Leinster finals.

The Senior Camogie team is training hard this week in advance of the All Ireland Semi-final this Saturday.

In other news, the Le Chéile council in 5th Year prepared various activities for Catholic Schools' week last week.
