Today Fourth years took part in a Zeeko Internet safety workshop. It was very informative and all students learned something new and enjoyed the workshop.

Drop Everything and Read took place today in OLS, where students stopped what they were doing and read for twenty minutes. Students thoroughly enjoyed taking a break from their usual routine.

Young Economist of the Year 2021

Well done to Alice Carroll in 5th year who is a gold medal winner at this year's Young Economist of the Year 2021. She has been shortlisted for a special category award for her project; an investigation into the Economics of the Art Industry. The project examined how high end art is priced, questioned the market structure it operates within, analysed its relationship with sustainable development goals and whether or not art investment increases in times of recession. Well done Alice!

The Candidate Self Service Portal is now open and will close at 6 pm on Friday 30 April (tomorrow). All students must log into the portal and complete the required steps even if your choices have not changed since you registered on the portal in March. Please ensure you complete this by 6pm on Friday 30th April and check you have received a confirmation email that it is completed. Clothes Donation Drive

To mark Earth Day 2021 which took place last Thursday 22 April the SVP group are organising a clothes donation drive. By donating clothes, you are not only supporting the SVP’s Vincent’s shops – all of which have been closed for months and are in need of stock for when they can reopen - but you are also supporting the environment in a variety of ways; less rubbish going to landfill, promoting second-hand clothes, avoiding fast fashion, and supporting a circular economy. Bagged, clean, washed clothing can be left at the Arch on Wednesday 5th May at the end of school 13.40pm. Thank you SVP Committee

Thank you to all who contributed to "When I think of Our Lady's......." There was a terrific level of participation and many lovely positive sentiments reminding us of how fortunate we are to be members of the OLS Community. PIP points for outstanding level of participation go to B and M Houses. The points race for the Inter House Cup is very close with everything to play for in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes and ears open for news of upcoming House Events and make sure you are involved to maximise your House's chances of winning this year.
