CSPE Dublin Zoo Trip

Students in L3 went to Dublin zoo on Thursday 12th of October. They participated in the zooardship C.S.P.E. module. The module was fun and informative. It began with a debate about the role of zoos and their future role as well as discussions on the extinction crisis, captive animals as ambassadors for their species and Dublin zoo's responsibility to be stewards of animals for future generations. The zoo facilitator brought them to see and discuss their focus animal. The girls chose the Asian elephant. This was the highlight of the day for most of the girls and some were even brought to tears at the sight of the elephant family. For many of the girls their trip to Dublin zoo was a living classroom experience brimming with valuable experiences. A great day was had by all the girls in L3.

TY braved the elements with style today! We stayed off the water...but it came to us instead! It takes more than a bit of rain to dampen TY spirits though...turns out it's quite conducive for a good mud fight! Ziptopia, Skypark, High Ropes and Laser Tag by day. A rain reprieve this evening for some indoor Carlingford challenges!
