Ms O'Connor kindly gave a talk to TYs about the Irish Guide Dog Association and their program to place guide dogs with people who are visually impaired or have autism. Quazar was a very popular visitor to the school!

'A fantastic €862 was raised from our bake sale for Ukraine, organised by the TY JPIC club and the TY enterprise class. A massive thank you to everyone who baked and bought some treats. Well done to everyone involved!'

We're officially a Readers for Life School! The online award ceremony took place on Tuesday this week and was attended by many of the students and staff who have been part of this wonderful achievement. We are very proud to be a school where reading for pleasure is an integral part of who we are as a school community. World Book Day Celebrations 2022

We had a wonderful day in Foxrock marking World Book Day on March 3rd. All students received the World Book Day tokens, the whole school were treated to an audio story during the day, TYs enjoyed Book Speed Dating, teachers did a blind book swap and across the classes students and teachers discussed their favourite books.
Ukraine Crisis Appeal - Thank you.

Thank you to all the families and staff from the Loreto Foxrock Community who have donated to the Ukraine Crisis. So far, we have raised an amazing €7,250, which will be donated to the Red Cross today.The appeal is still open for anyone else who wishes to donate and the school will forward on any future donations on a weekly basis. The TY Students will be holding a bake sale in school on Thursday 10th March for the Ukrainian appeal. We would ask all our students to bring in their money and support this worthy cause.

Hard Luck Minor D Hockey Team

Well done and hard luck to our Minor D hockey team who narrowly missed out in todays Leinster Hockey Final. Well done to captain Fleur Mullan for her leadership and wonderful speech and a big thank you to coach Sarah Dillon. We are all very proud of you.

All in Foxrock would like to wish our 2nd Yr student Katie Lynch all the best this week in her upcoming performances in Carmen the Opera. Katie is part of the Childrens Chorus in the Bord Gais Theatre running from March 7-12. Katie played in todays minor final and is on stage tonight! No mean feat.
Ukrainian Appeal

Dear Parents / Guardians. Hello I am Ivanna and I am a Student of Loreto Foxrock and i am from Ukraine myself and my class 4R have a message for the school community of Loreto Foxrock. Currently there are half a million people who have been displaced due to the crisis occurring in the Ukraine. In response to this, our class has decided to collect money to support and help the refugees and we are asking the whole school to get involved. We are asking all families to donate via the school app to support the Irish Red Cross and Unicef who are providing essential food, water, shelter and medical supplies. If every family donated as little as €5then we can raise over €3000 to support people affected by the conflict. Thanks for your support and together our school can make a difference. 5th Year Trip - Thursday 5th May

A day trip for 5th year students has been planned for Thursday 5th May. We are going on a tour of Tayto Park, with ample opportunities to learn about unique selling points, different departments, sustainability, secondary selling points, marketing and much more. After the tour, we will have unlimited access to all attractions as well as the zoo, animal talks and the bird of prey demonstration. Most importantly, it will be a chance for everyone to catch up with each other in our year group. The girls will leave school at at 8.50am and return at 4pm. The cost of the trip is €32, payable through the school app. The consent form will also be submitted through the app. Thank you in advance and I hope it will be an enjoyable day out for your daughter.
