We are delighted to announce that Loreto Foxrock has been awarded the 'Well Read National Award – Readers for Life Award’! The award recognises our promotion and development of reading for pleasure across the entire school and involving the whole school community. The judges praised "the enthusiasm and creativity of all the partners involved" and commended us for "bringing [our] school community together in such an enriching and worthwhile manner and maintaining this award over the years." Many thanks to all the students, staff, parents and members of the wider community for supporting our reading initiatives over the years. We would like to wish our Senior A Hockey Team good luck over the next few days. They are travelling to Crescent College Limerick today to compete in the Prestigious Leahy Cup Hockey Tournament. One of only 3 Leinster Schools to have been asked to play in this invitational competition. Good luck girls.

Congratulations to Isabelle McBride in fifth year and Jessica Holohan in third year have both won prizes in the Texaco Art Competition. This is a tremendous achievement considering there were thousands of entries this year. Isabelle's painting is of her mum on a boat when they lived in Australia. Jessica's drawing is of herself and her brother on the beach when they were younger. The school and Ms Norton are very proud of you both. All in Loreto College Foxrock are so proud of our past pupil Hannah Mc Loughlin following her Olympic debut. Hannah played incredibly well throughout the tournament, scoring a goal and along with the rest of the Irish Women's team did her family and herself proud. We look forward to welcoming Hannah back to Foxrock soon to hear all about her Olympic experience.
