Dear Parents /Guardians, I am delighted to confirm that St Conleth & Mary’s will continue its reopening on Monday 1 March by welcoming back pupils in 2nd class. This is a full return of 2nd class and as such teachers will no longer be supporting children in 2nd class online. Information about when to send or not send your child to school is available at www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/school-and-covid-19/when-it-s-ok-to-send-your-child-to-school-or-childcare.html Please do not send your child to school if your child has: • a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or more • any other common symptoms of COVID-19 - a new cough, loss or changed sense of taste or smell, shortness of breath or an existing breathing condition that has recently become worse • been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 • been living with someone who is unwell and may have COVID-19 • other uncommon symptoms of COVID-19, such as sore throat or headaches • diarrhoea • returned from another country in the last 14 days Parents/guardians are asked to complete the return to school declaration before pupils return on Monday. This is available to you in our app and you will be sent as a notification to complete later today. Our school looks a quite different place since we left before Christmas and as such there are some small changes to our entry and exit in the morning. The school will open to receive pupils at 8.55am please enter the school via the main entrance. A one-way system is in place at the front gates (the gates opposite the church). If you are cycling, then you must dismount your bicycle at the front gates. This goes for both pupils and parents/guardians. Please do not arrive on the school grounds before 8.55am. We would ask parents/guardians not to congregate in the main yard, please drop the children and exit. School finishes at 2.50pm. Ms. Nugent’s class will exit first with Mr. O’Sullivan’s following a short time later. Waiting areas for parents/guardians of both classes are marked. Please wait for your child/children here. Face coverings must be worn while on the school grounds and please keep a 2m distance from others. We are endeavouring to avoid congregation points and would appreciate your co-operation in this. As we continue to operate in Level 5 the school office can only be accessed by school personnel. Please press the buzzer and you will be met outside. If you need to call to the school office, please do so after 9.30am. The Dept. of Education & Skills has produced some support materials for the return to school and they can be accessed here: Back to school video www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg2wRiXXSpc&feature=emb_imp_woyt Further PDF’s are attached More information available at www.gov.ie/en/publication/a04fc-advice-for-students-and-their-families/#health-advice-for-parents I would like to thank all in our school community for their understanding, support , patience and kind words during what has been an exceptionally difficult time for all of you and for your children. The reopening of the school will continue to require the same resilience of everyone while we aim to make the transition back to school a safe, calm and positive experience for pupils and staff. We are very much looking forward to welcoming 2nd class back to school on Monday. Kind regards Bryan Lynch

Well done to the Zuzannah and Charlie from Room 3 on their responding to music pieces of art. The children listened to Vivaldi's Four Seasons: Winter piece and drew a picture of what they thought it looked like. Room 3 also completed their Lenten Promises and some of them are included below. Well to all!
