CHARITY SINGLE IN AID OF PETER MCVERRY TRUST RELEASED BY LOCAL MUSICIANS

Peter McVerry Trust is a national housing and homeless charity committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage. In 2020, the charity worked with over 7,800 people and was active in 28 local authorities across Ireland. Their vision is an Ireland that supports all those on the margins and upholds their rights to full inclusion in society. Friends of Peter McVerry Trust have recorded a single to raise money to support the charity this Christmas. Written by John Evans and performed by Alan Brereton and Susan McDonnell. The song This Time of Year celebrates Christmas but reminds us that ‘food on every table and presents by each tree’ will not be a reality for the hundreds of families in Ireland who don’t have a place to call home this Christmas. You can download the song at PMVT.bandcamp.com and all proceeds will go to Peter McVerry Trust. You can set your own price, so please give as generously as you can. A video to accompany the song has been produced by Enda Grace, Dundara Television and Media, Allenwood and can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s1hNPgnbqE or pmvtrust.ie/news_and_media/new-christmas-song-released-in-aid-of-peter-mcverry-trust/https://www.facebook.com/petermcverrytrust/videos/319648536301824/https://twitter.com/PMVTrust/status/1460225751077343238?s=20https://www.instagram.com/p/CWS_TTwstPq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Dear Parents, Guardians, CAO is now open for your son/daughter to apply if they plan to go to college in 2022 using their points from their Leaving Certificate. Go to www.cao.ie and with your 6th yr student please view the Demo application, the video guides and the virtual booklet - listing all courses for which students may apply. Please support your 6th yr. child in refining their course lists ( of 20 courses - 10 Level 8 Honours Degrees and 10 Level 6 or 7 2yr or 3 yr options) and help them to thoroughly research their choices - on www.qualifax.ie or on individual college websites. All 6th yr students have been given a powerpoint presentation on the CAO Application Process, HEAR and DARE and The OFFER process - this is available for you to view on the 6th year Information - TEAM - which we encourage parents to view regularly to keep up to date with Careers news and important information for 6th year students. Students can now open their CAO account and if they have a list of courses may add them - in order of preference - they can amend their choices up to July 1st 2022. Students wishing to apply for apprenticeships or plc courses may follow links from the cao website also.
