Teen-Turn visit to JCSP Library

Teen-Turn representative and past pupil of Mount Carmel visited our library on Thursday ay to speak to TYs and some 5th years.
Kaye Marie Rabadon studied Computing in NCI and works part time with Teen-Turn as a Research & Online Activities Assistant. She spoke to our students about the Summer Stem Inside Series, Summer Work Placements, along with Project Squad and Technovation projects, in the hope of encouraging more Mount Carmel girls to participate in their programmes.
Teen-Turn’s work experience programme starts on 31st July for two weeks.

Meeting at school tomorrow at 9am for a Walk & Talk. This weeks route will take us towards Iveagh Gardens & finish in Bewleys Cafe for a free cuppa after. Please join us if you’re free- buggies welcome!

5th Year Howth Retreat

5th year students travelled to Howth today as part of their religion class retreat, after climbing the summit, students had time to reflect and take in the beautiful scenery.
Irish International in Volleyball

Yesterday we were visited by AJ Quinn. She represented Ireland in U18’s and U20’s Volleyball. AJ did a skills workshop with the girls on our volleyball team which they thoroughly enjoyed. A big thank you to AJ for visiting and to Mr Longaur and Ms Curran for organising the visit.

Italy Tour Day 3 & 4

What a fantastic time this wonderful group are having! Day 3 saw a trip to the beautiful city of Verona and a cruise in Sirmione.
While Day 4 is the trip to Gardaland today! Our students fly home tonight and we want to wish the entire group and Ms Byrne, Ms Costello & Ms Weir a safe trip home.
We look forward to seeing you back and enjoy your last day in Italy!

Flying into Linate airport in Milan yesterday, our school tour trip to Italy enjoyed Cable Cars in Malcesine and then a day trip to Venice today to include Gondola’s, art, culture, pasta & more!
A huge thank you to Ms Byrne, Ms Costello and Ms Weir for organising. Enjoy every minute!
TY/ TU Dublin Podcasting Workshop

This week, TY students Erika, Chloe and Sarah were in TU Dublin, where they attended a podcasting workshop. The students got a lecture on communications and broadcasting and then had the opportunity to produce their own podcasts. A big thank you to Ian Roller from TU Dublin for organising the workshop and to the staff involved, in delivering it.
