A big thanks to Paula Brady and Business in the Community (BITC), for creating work experience opportunities for our students, through their 'Time to Grow’ programme. This is an education and workplace initiative for young people that will provide valuable work experience and work placements, for Leaving Cert students in Dublin. Dear Parents/Guardians, I would like to commend all of our 3rd and 6th year students who attended, and completed their Mock Examinations. The final exams are taking place today, so well done! It was lovely to see so many grandparents in for our Grandparent's Day yesterday! A great event, organised by the LCA 1 Class Naoise, and hosted in our lovely JCSP Library. Just a reminder that the school is closed from February 13th-17th and will reopen on Monday February 20th at 8am, Wishing all of our staff and students a restful midterm break. Final game in the badminton league for U14 team

Our U14 lost to Loreto Foxrock in the semifinal of Dublin school league and finished the season with this great result. Well done to Courtney, Madison, Aleksandra, Ava and Nandin for representing Mount Carmel the best way possible!

Over the course of three Fridays in January, a group of Mount Carmel TY students took part in 'Legal Fridays' - a tailored programme which was structured around developing communication techniques, learning from industry mentors and building employable, career building skills all woven into a legal theme. A big thank you to A&L Goodbody, for hosting the event and to Susan HayesCulleton (co-founder of Savvy Teens), for delivering it.
Localise Youth Volunteering Climate Justice Graduation

Last Week, TY students attended a Localise Youth Volunteering Climate Justice Graduation. They received a Cert. for their Intergenerational Sustainability Fashion Show idea. The Fashion show will take place in the school on Thursday March 30th, where upcycled and recycled clothes, will be modelled by students, teachers and members of Friends of the Elderly. An exciting event to look forward to, for all involved.
