Today your daughter received an information pack and consent form for the HSE Secondary School Vaccination Programme. Please complete the enclosed form and return to reception at your earliest convenience before the 25th of February. Vaccinations for 1st years are due to take place on the 4th and 5th of March 2024.

Congratulations to the badminton team and their triumph on Thursday! The girls won 6 matches to 0. The girls played against Loreto Bray. They'll now be progressing to the Leinster finals.

Congratulations to the 6th years on finishing up their Mock Irish Orals and best of luck to the 6th years next week as they begin their Mock MFL Orals.
Well done to the U19 Badminton team yesterday who beat Loreto Bray in 6 matches. They now progress to the Leinster Finals! We wish them the best of luck in the next round. The students involved were Aoife McEvoy, Ailbhe Dunlevy, Grace Brennan and Ciara Friery.
The 2nd Year Parent Teacher Meeting will take place on Thursday 18th January from 4.15pm-6.45pm. Please see the attached letter on how to make appointments with your daughter's teachers.
As per the school calendar, please note that the school will be closed on Tuesday 16th January for a Staff Training Day.
There are two events approaching that will be helpful for 6th year students in advance of the mock examinations:
1. Study for success will reconvene this Saturday 13th January at 9.30am in Ballyroan Community Centre. www.studyforsuccess.ie/
2. On Tuesday 23 January from 6pm-7:45pm Ballyroan Library will be hosting a Study Skills and Revision Seminar for 6th year students delivered by Scott Mortimer. This event was very well received last year and will offer tips and advice to students who want to improve their organisational skills, build confidence and improve their study methods.

Deirdra Richardson from the Rotunda will speak to the 5th years on January 23rd (in the afternoon) to discuss areas of consent and assault. This ties in with the RSE course that they do as part of their RE programmes, and follows on from the Active Consent Workshop they did in TY.
