Well done to all our students who partook in their Eirquest aptitude assessments this week. This will be important for your daughter to reflect on, while making her subject choices for her Senior Cycle. Well done to our Active School Flag and Sports Leadership class who have been showing the active walkway to students during all PE classes this week along side a presentation. The walkway is a lap around the school and is a great way to get active at break and lunch time. The girls want to highlight that there are so many benefits of getting active and it’s amazing for your mental and physical health. Make sure to encourage your daughter to go for a couple of laps during lunch.   Please see some notices below for the week ahead. 1. A message from the Junk Koture class. The Junk Kouture class are busy creating imaginative garments, but need your help in sourcing more 'junk' materials. If you have or can collect any of the following materials it would be appreciated. plastic packaging - such as from ASOS etc. used tealights (the metal holder) soft plastic bags (the type that rip easily) Plastic bottles and caps aluminum cans and ring pulls Please drop any materials into Ms. Maguire's Art room 2. Class rotation for the TY Specific block will be in effect next week. Make sure your daughter checks the rotation on the google classroom so she knows where she is going. 3. On Wednesday C4 and P4 will be going on a Hike. Students must meet in St. Josephs hall at 10:26 and we will be back by the end of the school day, 13:40. Students should wear their School tracksuit and suitable walking shoes. We will be walking in Ticknock, which the majority of it is paths but there may be puddles, etc. Students also must wear their school coat. Students are asked to bring a small bottle of water which they will carry during the Hike. Due to the walk being a loop, we will not have the opportunity to retrace our steps if something is lost. Also when on the trip students bags will be stored in St. Josephs hall. It is strongly encouraged that all valuables are left at home on Wednesday. B4 and L4 will be doing this hike the following Wednesday. 4. Students will be covering learning interview skills in preparation for the Mid Year progress interviews on the week of the 23rd during PasCare. Questions and marking scheme will be shared with the students on next weeks notice. This is a progress check so students can reflect on their engagement and work rate to date.   5. Please encourage your daughter to check the 3 notices on the google classroom in regards to a new Maths club, a new school podcast, and a GAA child safeguarding course. She is encouraged to engage as much as possible with all activities provided.
