- A big thank you to the Cycle Clinic supported by South Dublin County Council who came into us today to service 10 students' bikes for free! We are so glad to see so many people cycling to school and availing of this service, keep it up. - Reminder to all students that the entries for the House t-shirt logo competition can be placed in the box at reception no later than Monday afterschool. We encourage you all to get involved! - Today our 5th Years had their Study Skills talk from Amazing Brains. We hope you all learned some valuable skills!

Cyclists: Free bike service on offer tomorrow!

South Dublin County Council are sending a Bike Clinic to OLS in the morning to service 10 bikes for free! The first 10 students to give their names in to reception in the morn will be the lucky ones! You will need to park your bike in the bike rack and leave your key in to reception. Everything will be sanitised before and after!
Afterschool Study

There are a limited number of places available in afterschool study for our 2nd year students. If your daughter is interested in attending after school study please download the application form on the school website under documents and return it to the school reception in an envelope marked 'afterschool study'. Payment can be processed using easy payments or by cash/cheque. As there are only a small number of seats available they will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Please read through the after school study rules with your daughter before applying.

Today our 3rd Years had a very informative talk from Amazing Brains to learn some useful study skills. All year groups will be attending Study Skills webinars over the coming weeks as we gear up for our annual Study Skills Week starting on October 5th. We are also delighted to have received extra resources for Study Skills webinars from Student Enrichment Services through Dublin South County Council. We're sure they will be put to good use!

We are delighted to announce that hockey will return tomorrow (22/9)! The Pods and Training times for students that signed up are displayed in the GPA. It is very important that all hockey players register on their year group Hockey Google Classroom today. The Google Classroom code is on the notice board. If anyone has any questions feel free to get in touch with Ms Phelan or your Sports Captain Amber!
Active School Flag

We are excited to be embarking on the second year of a pilot Active School Flag research study in partnership with Active School Flag and the University of Limerick. Part of the project involves analysing the activity patterns of our students and planning activity choices to suit their interests and needs. To enable this, the girls will be asked to respond to a short survey in their Pastoral Care class over the next few weeks. There is more information attached and should you wish your daughter not to participate in this project, please complete the form on the final page. Wishing you all a healthy & active weekend!

Congratulations to our 8 newly elected TY representatives pictured below. The girls will be in charge of ensuring their classmates are aware of all information on the google classroom, app and any other news. B4 will be represented by Rachel Dignam Laura Fleming. C4 will be represented by Róisín Evoy and Anika Jatar. L4 will be represented by Fiona Duffy and Abbey Kelly. P4 will be represented by Caitlin Evoy and Carrie Strahan. Our first ever online TY Parents talk was shared with you Tuesday and is still available on the school YouTube page for anybody who was unable to tune in on Tuesday. Please see some notices below for the week ahead Monday: For all who signed up for the beginner ISL course, make sure your daughter completes the google form sent out today via email. Once dates are finalised, payment via easy payments will be made available. It is €50 for the course. The B4 retreat has been postponed by one week in light of the new restrictions that are going to be implemented tonight. We will monitor the situation during the week and you will be notified on next weeks Friday update if it is going ahead. In order for your daughter to go on this trip in future, you must have her permission slip submitted on app in order to attend. If she does no have a permission slip she will not be allowed to attend and will have to attend school as normal. Deadline for Tenderfoot programme application is also on Monday.
