Well done to all our wonderful mathematicians, who did very well on their Maths Week treasure hunt.! The girls not only were successful in claiming their prizes but they also were very respectful for people out walking and maintained their social distances, so well done!. Well done as well to our 19 gardeners who helped Ms. Kinsella and Ms. Fitzpatrick to fix up the flower boxes behind Lourdes, and around the bug hotel. it will be exciting to see what you plant in them for a nice pop of colour in Springtime. Please see some notices below for the week ahead. 1. Firstly we have a message from the TY Junk Koture class: 'We the TY Junk Kouture class, are looking to add to our collection of recyclable materials that we are currently using to turn into wonderful avant-garde creations for the catwalk. If you use any of the following items we would be very grateful if you could collect rather than bin them. Please drop any of the following used items to the box outside Ms. Maguire's Art room. We will take care of turning them into wonderful fashion statements. - Plastic bottles (water/coke etc. large & small) - Plastic packaging from online 'fast fashion' companies such as ASOS etc. - Aluminum drinks can with their ring pulls - Egg cartons - Used Nespresso capsules (if they can be emptied of coffee that would be even better - if not can they be bagged up to avoid the coffee aroma.....) - Old DVDs and DVD cases - Old lace - lace fabric/lace curtains - Beads of any sort.' 2. For the students going out on work experience,: We all wish you the best of luck. Please encourage your daughter to get as many experiences and opportunities as possible to enhance your experience. Make sure to follow the advice you got during Maths class this morning, and to get the evaluation filled out and posted on your ePortfolio. 3. For the students partaking in the alternative work experience in school: The girls will be going to St. Josephs Hall for PasCare, first thing on Monday. There they will get your schedule for the week and the weeks running will be explained. Your daughter must bring plug in headphones (No wireless) everyday as they will be working on Chromebooks. You daughter must wear her official OLS tracksuit Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in order to partake in activities. Friday is fancy dress for Halloween, costumes do not have to be extravagant or scary.

We’re the TY active school flag class of 2020/2021 and we’re here to give you a quick report on what we’ve achieved and what we plan to achieve this year. We started off the term by putting up posters, promoting students' fitness around the school. We followed this by preparing an exciting afternoon of sports for all the First Year students. We successfully ran this event on the 29th of September. We’re also working hard on creating a walkway around the school for students to get active at lunch and break times. As well as that, we had the whole school fill out an active survey in pastoral care as we appreciate your opinions. We promise to keep up our hard work throughout the year and we will be sure to keep you active even with the coronavirus restrictions. We’ll keep you posted on further updates. by Abbey Kelly and Ciara Moore L4 on behalf of the ASF class!
