Well done to all the students on a fantastic week. For the girls out on work experience there was lot of positive phone calls and your employers spoke highly of the skills you were learning and the initiative you used. For the girls who partook in the work experience alternative in school, well done on getting involved and getting all your certificates. Lots of different work went on this week and your teachers all commented on how willing you were to complete your new tasks.

1st Year Vaccination reminder
Created : 20 Oct 2020, 2:45 PM

A reminder to 1st Year parents & guardians that the HSE Schools' Immunisation Team will be in school tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday to administer the HPV vaccinations for those students who submitted forms a few weeks ago. B1 and C1 are scheduled for Wednesday and L1, M1 and P1 for Thursday, HOWEVER, this is subject to the pace of proceedings so if a third class can be started on Wednesday, the team will continue.
Your daughter will be called out of class for a few minutes to get the vaccination and will return to class afterwards. It is generally a short and straightforward process. When they leave class the students are met by a nurse who explains everything. They get their injection, wait a few minutes for the doctor's approval to return to class and off they go!
Please ensure your daughter has a good breakfast in the morning. She may wear her school tracksuit for the day if she wishes (or a white T-shirt under her blouse if she is wearing her uniform). Students are advised not to partake in exercise for the remainder of the school day.
Many thanks.

6th Year Learning Reviews

6th Year Learning Reviews are now published on VSware for parents/guardians and students to view. This 6th Year review process began with students working on a personal reflection of their progress in each subject. The next step involved a consultation with their teacher which focused on progress to date, areas for improvement and steps to take moving forwards. Staff and students alike found that this phase generated excellent dialogue around learning, motivation and target setting. The next part of the process is for you to discuss the 6th Year Learning Review at home with your daughter in terms of the positive steps forward that have been identified to support her learning over the coming weeks and months.
