B house Celebration

This week, the B House celebrate the Feast Day of their Patron Saint, St. Bridget. During pastoral care students in the B House will watch a ceremony created by B6 entitled "Fall down seven times, stand up eight". Well done to everyone in the House for participating.

It's ok not to be ok...by B6 for 'Walk in my Shoes' Film Competition

The B6s created a short video, 'It's ok not to be ok', for a film competition run by St Patrick's Mental Health Services, Walk in my Shoes. Their video has been shortlisted in the Frame of Mind Secondary School Short Film Category. There will be an awards ceremony to showcase shortlisted entries and announce the winners. The video will be released on Wednesday 24th February. Well done to B6 and good luck in the final stage!

Dear Parents/Guardians, We look forward to welcoming your daughter back to online classes tomorrow at 8.30am. You will be aware of various leaks and significant speculation in the media regarding the staged reopening of schools. So far schools have received no official communication from the Department of Education on these plans which have not yet been finalised. When we receive any information, we will pass it on. We can only hope that it will be soon. In the meantime we will be in touch with each individual year group to let them know expectations for them for the resumption of online learning. TY: What's on next week Well done to all our TYs for engaging in all their online courses this week. The girls attended the Stripe TY P{rogramme on Tuesday and Wednesday, the had RSA Road Safety talks on Wednesday and they also attended the Kins Skin School programme yesterday & today., A big congratulations to our Musical class who have finished their recordings, we are all looking forward to an exciting production! Please see some notices below. 1. Your daughter is rotating her Science & Irish modules. All google classroom codes, room assignments and class lists are on the google classroom. 2. A reminder to ISL students that your presentation will be taking place on the 12th & 13th of April after school to finish their Gaisce requirements. 3. Please remind your daughter to fill out the work experience google forms posted last Friday prior to the 12th of April 4. TY Night - If your daughter is interested in speaking on TY night on any topic please encourage her to fill out the google form on the google classroom to outline what she would like to talk on. Dates will be confirmed for TY night after Easter. 5. On the google classroom students received information on two talks for after Easter. The first is on Medicine and the HPAT (12th Apr), and the second is a Careers expo (15th Apr). These are happening outside of school hours. We encourage all students to take notes of the times and all interested students are encouraged to attend. 6. On Tuesday 13th April we will be attending a virtual tour of UCD. during classtime. 7. For those interested the CEAD Open Day will take place tomorrow - Saturday 27th March, 11am-1pm. All details for the virtual open day can be found at this link www.ncad.ie/continuing-education/cead-open-day/ 8. Gaisce and ePortfolio deadlines are getting closer (7th May for both). Please encourage your daughter to have all her material up to date so she is not completing her submission at the last minute. 9. And last but not least! The TY team wishes you a restful and very happy Easter. We look forward to welcoming your daughter back into the school building after the break.
