The Leaving Certificate Portal 2021 is now open. Students have been sent an important email by Ms Kinsella highlighting some key points for them. This is crucial information students should take some time to read before inputting their information on the portal.
An important point to note is that by opting to take BOTH accredited grades and the exam for each subject now, students are keeping their options open and giving themselves the best chance of greatest success. They can decide later if they wish not to take an exam. We are strongly recommending that for now, all options are kept open. A message from Ms K explaining some more info for parents is here: youtu.be/2w9rCwh8Yk8
Many thanks.

Decide on a goal for today. Keep it simple - it must be achievable before the end of today.
Some suggestions...
I will make an effort to answer a question/talk in _____ class.
If I don't understand something in _____ class I will ask/message the teacher instead of letting it go.
I will put all my effort in to doing my best _____ assignment today.
I will message a pal I haven't said hi to in ages after school.
I will go to the study skills session at 2pm for 20 mins.
I will go for a 30 min walk after school today.
Whatever your goal, write it down now and put it somewhere you will see it to remind yourself during the day...make the decision now to commit to working towards your goal!

The Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) is a service provided by the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and the Department of Education for 6th Year candidates entered for the 2021 Leaving Certificate. The portal will open at 12 Noon on Wednesday 10 March (tomorrow) and close at 6 pm on Tuesday 16 March.
The Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) can be accessed at www.examinations.ie or www.gov.ie/LeavingCertificate. Click on ‘Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) 2021’.
To assist Candidates the SEC has prepared a step by step ‘Before You Start Guide’ which is attached. The ‘Before you Start Guide’ updates the information provided in Circular 7/21 regarding candidates confirming that they want to sit examinations after the 16 March. Note please that it will be possible for candidates to update their choices at the end of April/early May to include indicating that they want to take an examination in a subject which they had opted out of taking. However, there are limitations on this choice as by the time the portal reopens candidates will have lost the opportunity to take any of the related assessment components in multi-component subjects (e.g. orals).
