Our TY Prefects organised an excellent end of year Buddy Club Party for our AS classrooms today.

There was home baked goods, music and games.

There was also a popcorn machine kindly loaned to Ty Prefect Evey Brand by the business King and Queen of Castles.  You can find information on this business at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087348458841

The Buddy Club has been a favourite weekly activity of our TY Prefects and has been a hugely beneficial activity for all of the students involved.

It has promoted inclusion and kindness among all of our students and we hope to continue with this club next year.

Terri Reade SNA presented each Prefect with a certificate and a keychain that stated "May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are and the difference you make". This sums up the fantastic work our TY Prefects have done this year.

We are very thankful also to Terri for creating this wonderful club and welcoming our TY Prefects each week.

We are so proud of you all.

The Green Schools Committee organised a very successful Walk for Water. The walk symbolised the journey millions of women and girls make every day to get water for drinking, washing & cooking.
Thank you to the 1st years for taking part and donating money towards building a well for a community in Malawi so that they don’t have to make this journey every day.
The Green Schools Committee and the 1st year prefects stewarded the event and Garda Justin Meaney helped make sure we were safe on the roads.

On Friday 10th of May the CPC Sports Awards took place in the Assembly Hall. This was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all of the sporting achievements of our students this year. It was wonderful to see the hall so full of young people involved in sport in Cross and Passion.

We were delighted to welcome Irish Olympic Athlete Thomas Barr to speak to the students and present trophies to award recipients. Thomas spoke about the importance of participation in sport, the importance of teamwork and how vital it is to recognise success! All of us would like to wish Thomas the very best of luck in Paris for the Olympics 2024!

Congratulations to all award winners and particular congratulations to male sports star of the year Finn Cowper-Gray and female sports star of the year Sarah Kenny.

Two of our past students recently joined us to talk to our 6th Year students about the Transition to College.

Kaytlyn Walsh (Class of 2020) and Ben Cahill (Class of 2023) provided invaluable information to our students on how best to adjust to Higher Education. Throughout their presentations they spoke about commuting to college and also about moving away from home and sourcing accommodation. They also gave our 6th Years some insight into the difference between homework in school and college assignments and spoke about how lectures and tutorials are dissimilar to classes in school. They also gave advise to students on how to settle into college life and how best to manage their time. It was a great opportunity for our 6th Years to hear this information from a students' point of view.

Both Kaytlyn and Ben also gave our students some tips on how best to revise in the lead up to the Leaving Cert exams and how to manage their time once the exams start.

We are very grateful to both past students who gave their time to call back to CPC to provide advice and support to our 6th Year students
