Our 6th Year Leaving Cert Applied students received their Session 2 results today.

Overall these results were excellent with the majority of students receiving 8, 9, and 10 credits in their tasks.

Students also received their results in Irish as they sat their Leaving Cert Irish exam in June of 5th year and again the results are super.

Thank you to all the teachers who worked with students during this session and helped them in achieving these fantastic results.

We are so proud of these results and of our wonderful students who achieved them!

Congratulations to all.

Leaving Certificate Confirmation of Entries - Urgent and Important
Created : 15 Oct 2024, 3:44 PM
Archived : 15 Dec 2024, 12:00 AM

In 2021, the State Examinations Commission (SEC) as part of its digital strategy, introduced a facility to allow Leaving Certificate candidates to confirm their subject and level entry details online (including adding or withdrawing from subjects). The use of the online system, the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) will continue for the 2025 Leaving Certificate.

The portal opened on Monday 14th of October 2025 for candidates to register and activate their account and confirm their subject entries and levels. It will remain open for this purpose until 5pm Friday 25 October 2024. Candidates will be given a further opportunity to amend subjects/levels in February 2025.

It is essential that all candidates register through the Portal as this Portal will provide candidates with the opportunity to confirm their subject choice and levels, to also allow future access to their results and for the later stages of the process such as the appeals application process.

Click here to login CSSP 2025.

A copy of the Before You Start Guide 2025 is also attached to this notification for reference.

There is helpdesk support available at 1800-111135 or 1800-111136  between 9am  to 5pm until Friday 25 October 2025. Outside of these hours you can email candidateportal@examinations.ie

We were delighted to welcome two speakers from Teach Tearmainn today to speak with our Leaving Cert Applied students about healthy and unhealthy relationships.

Teach Tearmainn is is a non-profit organisation serving women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Our 6th year students have started their Contemporary Issues Task and todays talk has helped Kaitlyn hugely with her project on domestic violence and healthy relationships.

Students were spoken to about red flags in relationships and where help is available if needed.

Both the 5th and 6th year classes will look at ways they can fundraise to support the work of Teach Tearmainn in the coming weeks.

Thank you to 6th year Leaving Cert Applied student Kaitlyn for organising this very important talk for our students today.

6th Year Assembly

Our 6th Yr students attended an assembly this afternoon during which there were a number of acknowledgements and presentations made following a successful start to their final year in CPC.

Our Class Ambassadors were formally introduced to the Year Group and were presented with their badges. An important role where each Class Ambassador acts as a link between their fellow peers and their teachers & management ensuring the flow of information. They will also act as good role models in dress, punctuality and behaviour. We wish them well in their new role.

Ms Mills was very appreciative of the support she received during the 5th yr parent evening that was held in school recently.  A number of 6th year students were on hand to give their experience of 5th year and offered great advice for the current 5th years as they embark on their journey through Senior Cycle. Students received a kind token of appreciation from Ms Mills.

Our newly elected 6th Yr Student Council reps took some time out of their training today to join us in assembly. These students represent the student body and act as a voice on behalf of their peers. We thank them in advance for their support in promoting the aims and objectives of the school and wish them well in their role.

Finally, we were delighted to present a number of 6th Yr students with 'Student of the Month' Certificates and a voucher for the local Mart coffee Company. This was to acknowledge and reward our students, who were nominated by their teachers, for their work ethic, motivation, dedication, contributions and positive attitude shown over the past few weeks.

Special thanks to Ms Duffy our Career Guidance Counsellor who addressed the 6th Yr students at today's assembly. Ms Duffy shared some excellent and valuable information on college applications and reminded students they could make individual appointments for specific information with either herself of Ms Mc Donnell.

Congratulations to all of today's  recipients.  Although it is not possible for everyone to have received something today I would encourage all 6th years to continue with the dedication and commitment shown to their work thus far and to those who have engaged in the overall school life in CPC. These students have added to the positive environment created about the school. Well done and thank you.

Our sincere thanks to Garda Sergeant Tom O’Donohoe and Community Garda Jon Brien who spoke with our students this week about the importance of staying safe during the Halloween season. Tom and Jon also spoke about the need to be vigilant about the images a person may have on their phones and the importance of never sharing an inappropriate image. It was an insightful and informative talk. We very much appreciate the time Tom and Jon took out of their very busy schedules to support us.

Shrieks of joy rang through the Assembly Hall as our students received their Junior Cycle Results. Hugs, laughter and phone calls to family marked this lovely celebration of the long hours of study and work put into projects, CBAs and exams that assessed academic performance over the past three years. After enjoying a lovely treat of donuts and juice arranged by Year Head Ms A Burke, students greeted Mr Leonard with cheers as he arrived into the hall with the envelopes of results in his hands. We are delighted that the wait was definitely worth it! Wishing everyone an enjoyable and safe celebration this evening.
