We wish all our 3rd year students well for their exams next week. Just a few reminders: Please study the timetable carefully and come to school in plenty of time ahead of your exam. If a student has finished her exams on a day, she may go home or stay for supervised study. Where a student has two exams in the day, she must stay in school and avail of study in the interval between them. Students should leave their bags outside the classroom and should not have phones or smart watches on their person. Students will not be permitted to share resources or equipment during exams. Our students have worked very hard and in very challenging circumstances this year. Well done & keep up the good work, the year end is nearly here. Ms Prendiville

Archived : 06 Jul 2021, 12:00 AM
As you are all aware the 6th year mock examinations could not go ahead in the traditional manner this year. All mock examination papers had been purchased by the school before the government announcement and have been used by the teachers however the external correction cost was not required. We were lucky enough to be able to go ahead with the oral exams. Anyone who has paid the €160 extra fee for mocks and orals will be refunded the saving of €108 or have their account credited by the same amount if you have another daughter in the school, this will then be offset against future fees. If you do not have another daughter in the school and wish to be refunded this amount directly please email bursar@loretofoxrock.ie with your daughter’s name and bank account details before the end of May and a refund will be processed.

Dear TYs, TY Parents and Guardians Please be aware that some changes have been made to the TY Activity Calendar this week which includes the scheduled Bray-Greystone Hike. Due to a small landslide the local authority have officially closed a portion of the walking path along the Bray to Greystones trail and while members of the public continue to use the path, we cannot as the walk would not be covered by the school's insurance. We can however do the Bray Headland Loop Walk instead. Please note the following changes: Thursday 6th May: Remember you are going on a Hike - wear suitable clothing - i.e. PE uniform and suitable footwear. Bring water, snacks and lunch. Rain gear necessary, don't forget the suncream. 4O are to meet Ms Keogh and Mr O'Carolan at 09.45 at the Band Stand in Bray. From there you will complete the Bray Head Loop Walk. 4O will return to school for their 2pm class and the rest of the afternoon classes. 4R are to meet Ms Keogh and Mr O'Carolan at 13.00 at the Band Stand in Bray. You will leave school at 11.30 and not a minute before!. This gives everyone plenty of time to travel to Bray on a public bus that is scheduled to run every 10 mintues from town in a Covid 19 compliant manner. You will go directly home from Bray at the end of the hike. Friday 7th May 09.00-16.00: TY Tennis-A-Thon in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs Association. All TYs will take part - so please bring in your tennis rackets if you have one. You will wear your school tracksuit for the day and EVERYONE will be taking part over the course of the day. Please see below the day's schedule - when not on the tennis courts playing you will be in class. All four courts are to be used, doubles and single games are to be played. If you are scheduled on the courts at break or lunch time you will be given time to eat in your next class. How to raise money for the Irish Guide Dogs? Each TY student to contribute €10 on the day. You may of course seek out sponsorship from friends and family. Buckets will be placed at the entrance gates to the tennis course for other students to make a contribute to as they come to support over the break and lunch times.
