Dear Parents / Guardians, Thank you to all who completed the recent survey on PA funding options and other matters. We’re delighted to share the results of the survey with you, and advise on what happens next PA Funding options. Almost 50% of you went for the canteen upgrade including seating, 41% went for the sports hall upgrade, and 8% wanted the app. So that’s a clear win for the canteen upgrade – but the good news is that we intend to fund the upgrade of the sports hall too! We are currently reviewing quotes for all of this work and we intend to commence both over the summer holidays, so that the upgrades are complete by the time your daughter returns to school. While this will be too late for those who won’t be returning next year to enjoy the benefit, the PA also made a significant contribution to the recent graduation ceremony, which was a great success by all accounts. If your daughter was involved, we hope that she enjoyed the day. Other results are listed below and the school will be in touch on the outcomes in due course. Finally, we’d like to wish your daughter the very best of luck in their school or State exams (or the TY activities!) in the coming days and weeks, and we’d like to wish you all the best for the summer holidays. We look forward to seeing you all at some stage in the next year. The Parents’ Association Other matters - winning votes: 65% of respondents said they'd prefer to have the option of hot lunches, sandwiches, wraps etc. 46% of respondents said they were very interested in the idea of a new tracksuit bottoms. 35% said they were very interested in the idea of a new jumper for 6th years. 48% are not at all interested in finding a new school supplier.

In continuing to keep your daughter(s) safe in school, the students have been asked to restrict their movements to their base classrooms and a designated social area outside. We have also asked the students to limit their interaction to their own year group - as far is possible. We would be very grateful if tomorrow students bring home their boxes and any other belongings they may have. They should only bring to school what they need day to day. We recommend that after Friday 21st May that all Leaving Cert students stay at home and limit social interaction in preparation for their exams. This is in line with the advice from the Chief Medical Officer - Tony Holohan. We also wish to congratulate the year group on their wonderful graduation on Friday. It has been our pleasure to work with these wonderful young women over the last 6 years. Friday was a special day for all . Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Hello everyone, We very much hope your daughter enjoyed the recent team-building days in Kilruddery. Thankfully, the weather smiled on us and the feedback from the girls was extremely positive! In a year where social opportunities at school have been limited, we were delighted to facilitate the day's activities. Just a friendly reminder that if your daughter attended Kilruddery and you do not have access to the App (online payment portal), payment of €25 can also be made in cash and returned to the Year-Head. The online shop also remains open to facilitate online payment. Further to the success of the Kilruddery trip, we will run a mini 'sports day' for all First Years on Friday 21st May from 1.45 to 3.45pm. Activities will take place in the school grounds and will be facilitated by our sports staff and 4th Year students. Once again, the objective is simply to give the girls the opportunity to socialise, have fun and potentially get to know other students across the First Year group (the composition of Teams will reflect this ambition). We ask that students wear their tracksuit to school on Friday 21st and bring a lunch to school. They will have an opportunity to eat after their History exam, and before the activities commence in the afternoon. We are all very much looking forward to the day! Additional details will be posted to the First Year 'Team' in the coming days. Thank you all for your support of the girls, and the school in this most challenging of years. Looking forward to better times ahead! Kind Regards, Ms Louise Ryan (Year Head) Ms Elaine Crumlish (Year Head)
