The webinars are for parents, teachers and youth workers. The theme of the webinars is supporting young people's well-being. The talks will run on Monday evenings from 7pm-8pm starting the 26th April. . Monday April 26th 7pm-8pm: "Promoting positive mental health in young people". This talk will be given by Professor Eilis Hennessy, Developmental Psychologist from the School of Psychology University College Dublin. . Monday May 10th 7pm-8pm: "Managing school stress". This talk will be provided by Dr Elizabeth Charles, Senior Educational Psychologist from NEPS (National Educational Psychology Service). . Monday May 17th 7pm-8pm: "How to talk to a young person about how they are feeling". Panel Discussion with clinical psychologists Dr Tony Bates, Dr Charlotte Wilson (TCD) & Professor Gary Donohue (NUIG). There will also be young people on the panel to give their perspective. . Monday May 24th 7pm-8pm: "Compassion based approaches for supporting young people". This talk will be given by Dr Ciara Mahon, Postdoctoral research fellow from the School of Psychology UCD. Dear Parents The INSS have asked that Parents/Guardians complete an online consent form by Thursday 22nd April 2021 and once completed a Health Declaration form will be sent out and will need to be completed by Friday 23rd April 2021. Completion of these forms will allow the INSS to fulfil their COVID 19 tracing requirements should the need arise. TY Work Experience during the summer with Columbus Club Summer Camps

The Columbus Club provides Summer Camps in Donnybrook/Ballsbridge and this Summer the Club is offering work experience to T.Y. students for a two week/1 week period over the months of June, July and August. The Club is looking for students who are reliable, kind and outgoing in nature. Students with a caring and pleasant personality who are very respectful of young children is essential. If you are interesting in applying for work experience with Columbus Club please forward a short covering letter and a copy of your C.V. to anne@columbusclub.ie. Please indicate in your covering letter if you have an interest in one or more of the areas listed below or if interested in other areas, please do indicate this to us: 1. Home Economics 2. The Nursing Development Unit in St Jame's Hospital has organised an Introduction to Nursing Programme for TY students. This virtual programme will take place from the 4th-6th May 2021. If you have an interest in nursing and wish to take part you need to register by emailing your interest to ITNP@stjames.ie.
