We would be very grateful for your consideration as it will allow for the smooth running of the exams each day. I hope all your preparation is going well. Kind regards. Bernadette Prendiville

Huge congratulations to all our 3rd year students who have completed their summer exams. It has been a challenging year but we are immensely proud of how each student adapted over the last year and the consistent hard work evident over the last few months. To celebrate students took part in a "Fun morning" full of team building challenges. Luckily the sun came out for the occasion and students enjoyed a range of activities with their friends and classmates. Wishing everyone a healthy, safe and restful summer and looking forward to seeing you all at the end of August.

Dear TY Teachers Just to update you on TY activities this week.
Tuesday 25th May:
09.00-11am: TY Tutors to take their TY tutor class in their base classroom from the 9-11am slot so that it is the TY Tutor who is listening to the TYs as they give their end of year presentation to the class. If you teach TYs at this time you may be needed to cover supervision of 5th year exams.
11.15-13.15: TYs taking on the Game Board Challenge - supervised by timetabled teachers and I will be floating from one class to another during that time.
13.15: TYs can go home although 4O has been asked to stay and help Siobhan Keogh to help with the 1st Fun Activities day until 15.30. 4O will leave class at 13.00 to meet Ms Keogh at the Sports Hall.
26th May: 09.00-13.15: All TYs will be participating in the Go Beyond Activities organised on-site. Normal TY Teachers are asked to supervise outside although each activity will be run by Go Beyond staff. TY Tutors are also invited. You are all invited to take part if you so wish!
13.15: All TY go home for the summer. No more classes for the rest of the week.
Thanks a million for all your help especially over the last month when classes were interrupted with activities.

Dear Parents/Guardians
The end of Transition Year is fast approaching. The last few days are packed with activities:
Monday 24th May sees the school closed to all students (except 3rd Fun Day supported by the TY Sports Team). Students are advised to take this day and make the final preparations to their virtual presentations.
Tuesday 25th May has the girls deliver their individual presentations "My Transition Year in times of Covid 19' to their base class group. The second presentation - a class effort titled 'LCF Our Transition Year in Covid 19' will be shown to all of TY and available for parents to view. Following the presentations Games Day will begin. and student will go home at 13.15.
Wednesday - Last TY Day – the end of year for TY will be celebrated with on-site activities organised with Go Beyond Adventure Company – challenges, games and various activities especially designed for TY. A full turnout of TY students is expected to make this day a very successful one.
I would like to take this opportunity to say that although this year has been a particularly unique one in every way, it has been my pleasure and that of the TY Team to work alongside your daughter and help her expand her knowledge base, skill levels and life expeirence.
Thank you to the TY TEAM made up of Ms Regan (Year Head), Ms Burke-Kennedy, Mr Delahunty, Ms Allen and Ms Hourican, without them the year is impossible to run as the school would wish to do so. Thank you also to Ms Prendiville and Ms Daly for their unflinching support throughout the year.
Finally a BIG thank you to you the Parents and Guardians of our Transition Year students - without your support TY would not be possible. On behalf of the TY Team I wish you a happy and safe summer and we are all looking forward to welcoming back each and every TY student back to school in late August to the joys of 5th Year 2021-22.
