Dear Parents / Guardians, As you may be aware we are currently dealing with a recently confirmed case of Covid. We are working with the HSE in carrying out a thorough Risk Assessment. There is no need to panic and all students who are considered a close contact have been notified and we will be in contact with all families of these students throughout the morning. Dear Parent & Student. We now have a couple of confirmed cases of Covid in school. Whilst no 6th year student is deemed to be a close contact, we recommend that students remain at home to stay safe. Teachers who have scheduled classes tomorrow and Friday will continue these classes on line. If your daughter has belongings still in school, she may collect them tomorrow, but for a brief visit only to the school. We are being cautious in order to keep our students safe and well for their impending exams.

Dear Parents / Guardians, Thank you to all who completed the recent survey on PA funding options and other matters. We’re delighted to share the results of the survey with you, and advise on what happens next PA Funding options. Almost 50% of you went for the canteen upgrade including seating, 41% went for the sports hall upgrade, and 8% wanted the app. So that’s a clear win for the canteen upgrade – but the good news is that we intend to fund the upgrade of the sports hall too! We are currently reviewing quotes for all of this work and we intend to commence both over the summer holidays, so that the upgrades are complete by the time your daughter returns to school. While this will be too late for those who won’t be returning next year to enjoy the benefit, the PA also made a significant contribution to the recent graduation ceremony, which was a great success by all accounts. If your daughter was involved, we hope that she enjoyed the day. Other results are listed below and the school will be in touch on the outcomes in due course. Finally, we’d like to wish your daughter the very best of luck in their school or State exams (or the TY activities!) in the coming days and weeks, and we’d like to wish you all the best for the summer holidays. We look forward to seeing you all at some stage in the next year. The Parents’ Association Other matters - winning votes: 65% of respondents said they'd prefer to have the option of hot lunches, sandwiches, wraps etc. 46% of respondents said they were very interested in the idea of a new tracksuit bottoms. 35% said they were very interested in the idea of a new jumper for 6th years. 48% are not at all interested in finding a new school supplier.
