68 TY students visited Joe’s Farm in Killeagh today. For many of the students it was there first time visiting a farm and seeing Carrots, Parsnips, Kale, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, Leeks, Potatoes and Pumpkins growing in a field. While all students were told to bring wellies many decided that was not part of there image and decided to arrive to a farm in white runners. As you can imagine the runners did not remain white for long!!!!! All students were handed a spud bag and had to opportunity to fill it with vegetables straight out of the ground. Everyone also picked there own pumpkin. Perfect timing for Halloween.
