October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Today all TY students had a talk from Juliette O Connell a breast cancer survivor. She spoke with ease about her amazing story. She gave a breast self examination card to all students to bring home and share with their family. She stressed that early detection is key and also told students about an app that can be downloaded to remind people to do a breast check every month. We were delighted that Juliette visited our school.
