Friary 3 Pres Bandon 0 So proud of our Minor 1 team who clinched the Munster Minor C league today with a fantastic win against Pres Bandon. Some excellent performances all over the pitch with captain Sarah Gaffney commanding midfield and Emma Curran creating chances down the wing. Meadhbh Moynihan got two goals after Edel Tynan had put us 1 up. They will hope to add a Munster Cup to the league success in the coming weeks!️

Friary 1 Pres Bandon 1 Our Minor 2 girls finished up their season with their best performance to date, a hard fought 1-1 draw with @bandonpres Some great hockey played in perfect conditions ️ it was Ami Flavin who got the crucial goal with a well placed finish into the corner. The girls have improved so much from the start of the season and are already looking for to playing again next year! ️

The Minister for Education Norma Foley is paying a visit to St Augustine's College on Friday morning the 11TH of February. We are delighted that the Minister is taking time from her busy schedule to visit our school . The Dept. of Education and the Minister have been very forth coming and supportive with our school development over the last few years and continue to support our plans for future development. We look forward to her visit to discuss future plans and would request the following. Please do no drive up to school entrance between 8.30 and 10.00 am We ask that all students make an effort to be in full uniform.

Transition Year
Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. The internet is an integral part of our lives, providing fantastic opportunities to learn, create and connect, but the online world also creates challenges. Research consistently shows that many children do not tell if something goes wrong online. Today TY students Olivia Meabh and Niamh gave an excellent presentation and had a conversation with two 1st year classes about the internet. This is one of the most effective ways of ensuring that our 1st years have a safe and positive experience, and to help them to feel comfortable to go to someone if they encounter an issue. Everyone has a role to play in creating a safer and better internet, and the #TalkListenLearn campaign helps to support families for Safer Internet Day 2022.
