Check out this website www.walkinmyshoes.ie/campaigns/mindyourselfie #MindYourSelfie is an annual social media campaign, which we host to encourage conversations around mental health. What do you do to #MindYourSelfie? #MindYourSelfie sees us sharing photographs and offering free tools to promote positive mental health for everyone in the community, and especially young people. Every year on #MindYourSelfie Day, we want as many people as possible to see and use the #MindYourSelfie hashtag to raise awareness about the importance of looking after our mental health. The day also marks the launch of a new wellbeing support, which, over the years, has included everything from Wellness Journals and mindfulness colouring sheets to eBooks and classroom film guides. #MindYourSelfie Day 2021 Our next #MindYourSelfie Day takes place on Thursday, 27 May 2021. Our world has changed so much in the last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve moved through lockdowns, missed important life events, faced health concerns, and dealt with difficult feelings of fear, loneliness and grief. But we’re getting through it and, now, bright and more hopeful times lie ahead – and we want to celebrate this with you. In 2021, we want to start a conversation about how you’ve learned to #MindYourSelfie in the last year. So, on 27 May, hop on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, sharing your photographs and telling us about the people, places and things that have helped you to stay calm and resilient during the most difficult times. To keep the positivity going, we’ll enter everyone who takes part into a draw to win a €200 One4All voucher – just use the hashtag #MindYourSelfie on the day to get involved! We’re also delighted to host an online event on the day, exploring the learnings we can take from the last year and the tools we can use to prepare for coming out of lockdown. We’ll be joined by representatives from some of Ireland’s top youth organisations, interest groups and mental health groups, including BelongTo, SpunOut, the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Comhairle na nÓg, St Patrick's Mental Health Services and more. Speakers will be sharing their tips for readjusting and staying well as we begin to return to a more normal way of life. You can register your free ticket for the event here. We'll be sharing more exciting updates and ways you can get involved. If you have any questions, get in touch with us at info@walkinmyshoes.ie.

Please see website www.walkinmyshoes.ie/schools/secondary-school/transition-year-programme Our Transition Year (TY) Programme is a one-week mental health awareness placement, conducted by clinical staff from St Patrick’s Mental Health Services. About the programme Every year, 100 students from across Ireland take part in the TY Programme, with 20 students participating in a week-long placement at a time. Students engage in approximately five sessions each day, focusing on various aspects of mental health. They also get to take part in a mock multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting. Each May, we mark the graduation of students who have completed the programme, hearing from special guest speakers and giving out graduation certificates to each of the students, who leave the programme empowered to act as mental health ambassadors in both their schools and local communities. 2021/22 programme The next TY Programme takes place over five separate week-long placements across the 2021/22 academic year, and will be designed with public health guidance in mind. Applications for the programme are now open, with the deadline closing on Friday, 30 July. All applications will be entered into a draw for places, which will be confirmed with the successful applicants ahead of the academic year. Please note that, if multiple applications are submitted, each student can only be offered one week-long placement on the programme. If you have any queries about applications, please email info@walkinmyshoes.ie.
