TY Thriller Dance !

Unfortunately our TY Musical could not go ahead this year. However dance moves still continue. Michael Jackson's Thriller is a 1983 music video from the Michael Jackson song "Thriller". It references numerous horror films, and stars Jackson dancing with a horde of the undead. Today Sarah Leyman is teaching our #TY students this dance.

Driving Instruction

Today TY students enjoyed a day about all things driving. They had the opportunity to drive a car around the school grounds. Car maintenance was discussed and students rolled up their sleeves and changed a wheel. They also put on beer goggles to show how it impacts coordination and finally they did the Driver Theory Test. Lots of learning and a fun day.

Dear Principal, I wish to confirm that the closing date for the Candidate Self Service portal has been extended to 6pm on Saturday 1st May. The Candidate Self Service Portal is now open since 12pm TODAY Tuesday 27 April 2021 until 6pm on Friday 30 April for candidates to review and finalise their level selection and their choices of examinations, Accredited Grades or both. ***All candidates are required to complete this process, even if their choices have not changed since March.*** A comprehensive guide to this phase of the portal will be published is on www.gov.ie/leavingcertificate2021 and www.examinations.ie. A dedicated phone-line service for queries on the Accredited Grade process 2021 will be available from Monday 26 April at the Department’s Helpline on 057 932 4461 (select option 2), Mon – Fri, 10 am to 5 pm, or by email to LCinfo@education.gov.ie.

Well done to TY students James, Ava, Aoibhín and Realtín they helped to decorate Curran’s window in the Square in Dungarvan. This is to raise awareness, advertise and promote Darkness into Light 2021. Check out the Pieta House website for more details.
Skelligs Chocolate Zoom Call

Today Ms McGann’s 3rd year Business class enjoyed a zoom call with Colm from Skelligs Chocolate. This business is located on The Skelligs Ring, just off the main Ring of Kerry road and nestled along the Wild Atlantic Way. Colm couriered chocolate to our school so all students got to sample this amazing chocolate. This raised awareness of an Irish family business i lar an Gaeltacht and many students will purchase skelligs chocolate in the future. Many thanks to Caoimhe Norris for emailing Colm she picked a great company for her project.
