WIT lecturers are running a computing camp for second level students this June and we thought some of your students might be interested in joining the online session. The course is aimed at Transition Year students and above but we are happy to facilitate motivated students from earlier years. There has never been more career opportunities in this dynamic area and your students will learn learn the basics of coding in a fun and visual way by doing this free HEA funded computing camp. The online course will be run by three WIT computing lecturers over two mornings (9:30am - 12:30pm) on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 June. No prior programming knowledge is required for this course, though participants do need a computer to work from. If you have student groups or individuals you think this might suit, they can book their free place by registering on our website. With best wishes Rob O'Connor Lecturer in Computing & Mathematics
St Declan’s Way

Some of our energetic students along with their families may be interested in this event during the Summer. It is a fantastic walk that brings you over the Knockmealdown’s into Lismore, Aglish and finally Ardmore. Saint Declan’s Way is a pilgrim walking route linking Cashel in County Tipperary and Ardmore in County Waterford. It follows the route that Declan took when going to Cashel to meet Saint Patrick in the fifth century. In turn, it is the way that Pilgrims have taken to visit Saint Declan’s monastery, holy well and grave in Ardmore for the past one and a half thousand years.
