Meeting at 1pm in the front hall for all students interested in the running club. This will be the first outing so all fitness levels are welcome Great fun to be had with Ms Judge and Ms Healy so make sure to be there.

It's College Awareness Week in Mount Carmel Secondary School. Students will be taking part in workshops, colleges tours and career talks all week. Thanks to past pupil and TUDublin Access Officer Claire Dunne for launching our week!
U16 & U19 Badminton vs Mount Temple

Our U16A & U19A Badminton teams played today against Mount Temple. 4 won games and 8 lost games are a good result against much more experienced opponent. Well done to all girls
Mount Carmel Water Ambassadors

Congratulations to our four water ambassadors who were chosen by chosen by the Dublin region Water Ambassador programme. They attended training in Dublin City Council and learned all about wastewater and water treatment. They are looking forward to bringing back everything they learned from their training to our school and pass it on to to other students! Well done!
Anti-Bullying Week Display Wall

Thank you to the Student Council, Mr. O'Brien & the JCSP library for an excellent anti-bullying week. The artwork on display was fantastic, the kindness notes, crazy sock day and movie event really added to the message that Mount Carmel stands strong as a diverse community.

On Wednesday 23rd November our Career Guidance team will be giving a short talk to Parents as part of College Awareness Week in school. They will discuss the CAO and applying for courses & colleges. Talk will begin at 11-11 30. We'd love to see you there. It's never too early to plan for the future!
MEP Francis Fitzgerald visits Mount Carmel

Last Week, Mount Carmel had a special visitor when MEP Frances Fitzgerald took part in "A conversation with your MEP", as part of the ‘Communicating Europe’ initiative, run by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Frances told the students about her education and career path, how she became an MEP, her role in that position, the advantages for Ireland, of being part of the EU and then handed it over to the students, to ask their own questions. The event was very informative and enjoyable, with Frances linking in with the students, at their own level. A big thank you to Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) for organising the visit and to Frances, for taking the time, to visit our school.

Reminder that TY & 5th year Parent/Teacher meetings are on Thursday 17th November at 4.15pm-6.30pm for parents of our TY and 5th year students. Please note that all classes will finish 15 minutes early to facilitate this. Classes for all students will finish at 3.15pm. Thank you
