Dear Parents/Guardians the department of Education have notified all schools in Ireland of a legislative change that needs to be added to all Admissions Policies. Please see attached our proposed updated Admissions Policy and a letter to explain.

Lots of fun for students in Mount Carmel library today learning about snakes, iguanas, tarantulas and chameleons with Dave’s Jungle as part of our Science Week celebrations. Especially well done to those students who overcame their fears and held the animals. A fantastic experience for students and staff

TY Trip to Deloitte

4th Year
Last week, TY students made a trip to Deloitte for an ESTEAM (Science, Maths & Technology) event. The girls learned all about entrepreneurship in the STEM industry through a series of guest speakers, including Women’s Irish Hockey Captain, Katie Mullan (who has a BSc in Engineering Science and a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering). The students were also given the opportunity to design their own App (pictures of design posters for App included, with motivational, mental health and money saving sections). They then pitched their App design to their peers and guest speakers. A big thank you to Clodagh Dunleavy from Deloitte for organising the event and to Mount Carmel staff, Ms. Curran and Ms. Meehan, for accompanying the students on the trip.
TY Vodafone Coding Workshop

4th Year
This week, TY students took part in a Vodafone Coding Workshop. They learned to design their own Recipe Web Page, using html and jazzing it up with css code. Well done to the students who won prizes for their Web Designs, with a bright future ahead for them, as Programmers. A big thank you to Vodafone staff - Emily, Nathan, Lucas and Douydas, for organising and teaching the students, how to code.
