Friendly Friday at OLS

Today, the 1st years took part in Friendly Friday. Friendly Fridays are where students in each class pick a name of one of their classmates out of a bag (completely random) and their task is to be friendly to that person on Friday. Students are asked to go out of their way to do something kind for that person and spend time with that person. The one rule is that they are not allowed to spend money as it is not about buying a gift. Friendly Friday on the 21st of October was a huge success. Students received baked goods, compliments and one even got a crochet cat! Students really showed their school spirit and creativity on Friday. Why do we do friendly Fridays? Ms.Donlon had the idea for friendly Fridays to spread kindness and to encourage Friendships. We were delighted that friendly Friday was such a success, and we hope it can continue to be so in the future. By Jamilla Saidi and Darcy Folan M1
