The other classes who made it to the finals were M1,TY2 and B6. Everyone got involved and had lots of fun. There was great support from the whole school on the sidelines and we also had great involvement from the staff. Some teams dressed up, made signs and wore face paint.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our next whole school event. Your heart needs to beat so get active on your feet.

Our Junior Camogie team capped off a flawless start to the campaign with an emphatic 14-15 to 0-2 win against Portmarnock. The girls have now qualified for the B Championship. Well deserved and we finish the group stage as the top scorers in the competition. The draw for the knockout round will be made soon.
A huge congratulations to both of our Camogie teams as this is the first time ever that our teams have made the championship at both Junior and Senior level.

HPAT and Studying Medicine Seminar

On Tuesday afternoon a group of TY, 5th and 6th year students attended an information session about studying medicine and preparing for the Health Professions Admission Test (HPAT). The HPAT is an admissions test used to assist with the selection of students into medicine courses. It measures a candidate's logical reasoning and problem solving skills, nonverbal reasoning and the ability to understand the thoughts, behaviour and/or intentions of people. It was great to welcome both Darragh and Catherine to OLS. Darragh is a 1st year medical student in UCD and Catherine is an OLS past pupil currently studying medicine in TCD. Both Darragh and Catherine gave the students great advice about preparing for the HPAT and applying to medicine. We hope this first hand information will be valuable to the students in their future applications. We wish to say a big thank you to both Darragh and Catherine and wish them well in their studies.
