Remember it's Jersey Day on Friday! We invite everyone to wear their favourite jersey to school. Whether it's your favourite sports team or your local GAA club, we encourage all staff and students to get involved and show off your jerseys! We also ask everyone to make a donation of €3 which will go to the charity GOAL. Donate here.

On November 19th the ASF class is going to host Run In The Dark at 5pm for all TY students. The event will be a 5km run/jog/walk in aid of the Collaborative Cures foundation. To sign up you must pay €10 for the charity. Everyone who is involved will meet at the Sports Hall where the ASF class will make everyone bright and colourful! Well done to the Senior Camogie team who started their A Championship campaign with a win against Coláiste Íosagáin today!
Unfortunately, 2nd & 3rd Year Study Skills facilitators had to postpone yesterday's seminars with late notice but these are rescheduled for Wednesday October 9th. 5th & 6th Year students will attend their Study Skills seminars tomorrow as planned.
Another busy week at OLS!
Well done to the 6th Year Geographers who battled the elements on Wednesday to complete their field investigation at Powerscourt!
We welcomed our 1st Year parents on Wednesday afternoon for an information session followed by a cuppa and the Parents' Council AGM.
Our Opening Year Mass is always a special occasion to bring the school community together for a few moments of quiet reflection and a pause in the busyness of school life. We celebrated this on Thursday in the Sports Hall with the M5s, Fr. Pat and Ms Keogh at the helm. It was a meaningful ceremony and the 5th Years really inspired us to reflect on their theme, 'The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their purpose.'
The 6th Years headed to the RDS today for the Higher Options & World Skills Conferences, while back at school, the Active School Flag class kept us highly entertained at lunchtime with a student & staff mixed team relay takeover event. Well done to all who took part and to the TYs for getting us going (and laughing!)!
