Awards

Congratulations to all students who won awards at Thursday's Sports Assembly and Friday's Whole School Assembly. Well done!

Kenya Trip

Best of luck to Ms. Donlon, Ms. Finnegan, Ms. Maguire and Ms. Hallissey on their trip with 32 students to Kenya tomorrow. Wishing you all safe travels!

Exams & Leaving Certificate

Congratulations to everyone for making it through another exam season. Best of luck to the 6th years taking the leaving certificate!

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

1st year students will be involved in a feedback day and transition day tomorrow. They will have a different timetable for the day. Please see attached PDF regarding where your daughter should go at 8.30am. It is very important that they attend school tomorrow as it is an exceptional opportunity to gain feedback from their teachers folloowing their summer examinations. All they need to bring tomorrow in their bag is their pencilcase.

If they have not cleared their locker, please remind them that this should be done tomorrow.

The TY options are now open on VSWARE. Please discuss the subject choices with your daughter. She will also have the opportunity on Thursday to talk to staff and students about the different subjects on offer. 

We would ask that all options are selected by Friday. Students who have not selected will be allocated randomly.

Please bear in mind that whilst we endeavour to suit everyone, it is not always possible to suit all preferences and students may not receive their top choices.

Your daughter is invited to school on Thursday and Friday for the awards and prizegiving assemblies.

On Thursday, the Sports Awards will take place at 11.44 followed by a Leaving cert exam information meeting. 

On Friday, the 6th years will have a final 6th year assembly at 8.30am in Lourdes Hall followed by House assemblies. After break at 10.46, students are invited to the whole school prizegiving awards. 

We look forward to seeing your daughter if she can attend the events above.

This story and illustrations were completed with the Synge Street Gael Scoil when Sophia attended the Fighting Words workshop as part of the TY programme here at OLS.
