Dear 6th Year Parents/Guardians & Students,
We wish our 6th Years the best of luck with their language oral examinations over the next few days. A reminder that students were emailed the guidelines from Ms Cassidy's talk yesterday.
As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we would like to remind parents and students of the importance of full attendance at school for your daughter between Easter and Graduation, which takes place on May 15th.
This is a vital time for revision as teachers are completing outstanding coursework, undertaking revision and helping students to prepare effectively for their upcoming exams. Every lesson offers valuable opportunities for questions, guidance and the final steps in ensuring they are fully ready for their Leaving Certificate examinations.
Additionally, we are actively planning for a meaningful and memorable Graduation ceremony, one that reflects the students' time here at Our Lady’s School. This involves collaboration between the RE and Music departments, as well as the Year Team, to ensure that the ceremony is a fitting tribute to the Class of 2025. It is important that students attend all classes and rehearsals so they can be involved in this milestone event.
We appreciate your continued support and wish all our students the very best over the next few days.
Yours sincerely,
Freda Kinsella, Year Head
Aoife Ronan, Deputy Principal

This correspondence is relevant to those students who intend to pursue their studies in Science, Technology Engineering or Maths at third level institutions in Ireland and who may wish to apply for a Naughton Scholarship.
To date, there are over 450 Scholars and Alumni who have received Naughton Scholarships since the Naughton Foundation Scholarship Programme began. A total of 36 scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, with at least one student selected from every county in the Republic of Ireland.
Each Naughton Scholarship is valued at €25,000 i.e. €6,000 for each year of the student’s third-level course as well as a €1,000 award for each successful school to purchase STEM equipment.
We are interested in students applying to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related subjects rather than future practitioners (Medicine, Nursing, Veterinary, Physiotherapy etc) who will be unlikely to receive a scholarship. All applications are reviewed once CAO offers are released and the winners of scholarships are notified by mid-October.
Full details on who is eligible to apply for a scholarship, the terms and conditions applicable to the scholarships and answers to frequent questions are available at https://www.thenaughtonfoundation.com/
We would be very grateful if you can please encourage students to apply to join a very prestigious group of young people. Please do not hesitate to contact me on scholars@thenaughtonfoundation.ie if you have any questions.
