The TYs enjoyed a day of celebration with some teamwork activities on Thursday, while the rest of the school started the day with some Just Dance organised by the Amber Flag for a positive start to the day to mark World Mental Health Day. Lunchtime Karaoke continued the theme with some magnificent performances in the GPA organised by the 6th Years. The Green Committee proudly raised the school's Green Flag marking their achievements in highlighting awareness of environmental issues in the school.
Today, 1st Years engaged in their Study Skills workshop. There was a great array of colour and allegiance shown as students and staff donned different jerseys in aid of GOAL's Jersey Day! Never to miss an opportunity, the 6th Year Leadership Team organised some InterHouse soccer at lunchtime while everyone was kitted out for action! A great finish to a busy week.

Congratulations to the current TYs who received their Junior Cycle exam results today. The results are excellent and while they don't reflect the full richness and breadth of learning across their Junior Cycle (this is reflected later on in the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement which includes CBAs, Wellbeing and Other Areas of Learning), the results certainly highlight the tremendous work the students put in over the last 3 years across 10 subjects. We are so proud of our students for constantly striving to reach their potential. There was a great air of excitement and shared success this afternoon as students congratulated each other on their achievements. 13 students achieved 3 or more distinctions, including 1 student who achieved a phenomenal 10 distinctions!
Thank you to the teachers who worked hard to guide the girls towards achieving their best and to the parents and families who support their daughters every step of the way!
A reminder that TYs are expected in at 8.25am in the morning, in full school tracksuit, ready for action!
