Beidh seachtain na Gaeilge beagáinín difriúil i 2021, ach ná bí buartha, beidh imeachtaí ar siúl sa rang chomh maith le Dúshlán an Lae!
Why not start by trying to improve on your Gaeilge outside of the Irish Curriculum..... you can get the whole family involved... here are some ideas!
Cad is féidir liom a dhéanamh chun snas a chur ar mo Ghaeilge?

Today we invite our entire school community, regardless of gender, to celebrate International Women's Day. Let's take this opportunity to really recognise, acknowledge and show gratitude towards the positive female figures in our lives... Don't forget to tell them how important they are, not just on this day, but every day!
Well done everyone!

Please see the attached letter from the Principal and a circular from DES regarding Leaving Certificate 2021.
We must also ask parents that if your daughter is absent from school for an illness of any kind/appointment/family reason/etc, you need to resubmit the Return to Educational Facility Parental Declaration Form before she returns to school (now in the main menu of the app - see pic below).
Many thanks.

Our TY and 5th Year students will have some opportunities to engage with the Shine Festival early next week. The Shine Festival (www.shinefestival.ie) is a special on-line schools' event tailored for girls and women, appropriately kicking off on Monday, International Women's Day! Each year group will be given more detail and log in information nearer the time. While many of the sessions are prerecorded, the material can only be accessed Monday to Wednesday. You will see from the line up attached that a great variety of topics will be covered over the three days. Please note that some videos will feature discussions on potentially sensitive topics like sexual health, grief, suicide, eating disorders etc. These are signified in the lineup with an asterisk and in the videos themselves. Shine will signpost to support organisations as appropriate. We would encourage parents to check in with their daughters regarding what talks they may be interested in accessing.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
Interesting thought! It's not about success or failure, but keeping going.
You are midway through your week's journey and doing great. Keep it up!
Take advantage of the early Wednesday finish to squeeze in something nice this afternoon!

Then on Friday we will have a guest speaker from UCD to judge the entries and pick this years winner.

4. A reminder that both record card and project for Gaisce are due on the 7th of May. if your daughter has finished earlier she can send them in before that. If she needs an extension of time that is fine also but just means the certificate and medal may not arrive prior to the end of year and will be instead presented in September of the next academic year.
