Well done to all our students who worked diligently on their UCD Engineering project and a big congrats to our winners, whose photos are attached. Well done to all on getting the ePortfolios up to date by Monday. All the TY team were impressed with all the work gone into your designing of your websites. Well done as well to all students who participated in the PEATA project over the past few months. All students who have submitted their work to Ms. O'Brien have now been signed off on their Gaisce Community Involvement Section. Please some pictures attached of the students involved. Please see below some notices for the week ahead: 1. We have 53 students out on work experience next week. Only the students who have confirmed the placement with Ms. Phillips and have the correct paperwork submitted have permission to attend work experience. 2. For the students who are in school next week the week will be outlined in PasCare first thing Monday so all are aware of the activities for the week. There will be some classes proceeding as normal while others will be replaced with Work Experience themed activities. Please remind your daughter to have her headphones and a device with her. 3. End of year interviews are starting on Friday and continuing on Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week. Questions were posted last week on the Friday notice for students to review and prepare. The scheduled is now posted outside Ms.Phillips office. Students will only be excused to reschedule if there are justifiable reasons, eg: Doctors note.  4. Please see attached some information on an event happening on Thursday for students who will be attending school. There is a parental permission form here from UCC (docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLIxL2QYWJdFgYsyAiLPmoTOJRfe1mKx30f0gZ05iKJAsEGA/viewform?gxids=7628) which must be completed by a guardian prior to Thursday morning. Next week is Wellbeing Week and we are having a class kilometre competition where each class needs to walk or run as many kilometres as possible. Over the next week make sure to walk or run as much as you can, as there will be a prize for the class with the most kilometres and more importantly house points! Ask your class captain where to record your kilometres and make sure to encourage your form teacher to get involved as well. Each class captain will have an ASF member to share their class's results with, good luck everyone!

Wellbeing Week will be starting on Monday so we are asking that you are ready to go on Monday morning in clothes that are comfortable to exercise in. If you are in school (5th & 6th Years), please wear your full school tracksuit. You will be doing different activities throughout the week. Important- could all 5th and 6th Years please bring a device (phone is easiest) and earphones with them to school throughout the week as some activities may need to be completed outdoors and 2m apart. If you are in 5th or 6th Year, please spread the word! There will be a class kilometres challenge which your class captain will be in touch about. May the best class win!

We're a year on from the day when the concepts of remote learning and working/schooling from home took on a whole new relevance and significance in our lives. Time to pause and say, well done OLS. The whole school community has really pulled together to navigate the challenges presented to us over the last year, adapting to new ways of teaching, learning and connecting. To our staff, students and families we say, thank you and well done! At the end of another week's Trojan work, give yourselves a pat on the back. It's not always easy, but your perseverance is to be commended and we are so proud of our students' resilience in the current landscape. Enjoy connecting with your classmates through your lessons today and have a lovely, restful weekend, particularly to our 6th Years who have been extra busy this week! Happy Friday to all!
