Yet another busy week in the TY Calendar. The week started with the exciting news of a potential TY Trip to Lake Garda, Italy, just in time to put at the top of the Christmas present list. It was a nice way to start assessment week and bring plenty of smiles to our TY’s faces. TY’s have been very busy the last few days with their assessments, however, not too busy to miss out on some festive cheer. The REPS have been busy elves decorating the TY Co-ordinators and form tutors doors. This week saw a number of students enter the Generation €uro Students’ Award. Well done to all who have signed up and we wish them the very best of luck as they move forward to round one representing OLS. Students also had the opportunity this week to sign up to Toastmasters which will begin for a new group after Christmas, Maynooth Universities Mathematics Enrichment Programme and those who missed out on their initial midterm interview had the opportunity to do it. Next week will see Christmas festivities in full swing and we look forward to seeing what the TY classes have in store for their tree decorations. We wish all our TY Enterprise students the best of luck in the Christmas Fair on Monday. Don’t forget your money, you may spot the ideal Christmas gift. The business department will host a quiz compliments of Bank of Ireland while the Enterprise classes will be visiting local shops hanging posters promoting the St. Stephen’s Day Goal Mile (permission slip now live).

Welcome to the first day of our countdown of 5 C’s of Christmas. We are celebrating our 5 C’s- traits we as students of Our Lady’s strive to have. We will set tasks each day with these traits in mind to spread joy during the countdown to Christmas. Today is Day 1 and we are celebrating M house’s word charity. We are asking everyone to empty their pockets of spare change to fill our coin collection bottles. This will be given to the Peter McVerry trust. We are also wrapping the newly knitted scarves in the GPA today, all are welcome.
