Dear Parent(s)/Guardians(s)
As you are already aware, this year’s trip to Carlingford Adventure Centre will take place between Monday 28th and Wednesday 30th March. This trip is a terrific opportunity for the girls to build friendships, explore their own personal strengths and skills and challenge themselves through a diverse range of outdoor activities.
As with all school trips, students will be expected to cooperate fully with staff and instructors at all times and the Code of Behaviour will apply. Students and parents should familiarise themselves with our School Trips Policy. The use of any substance including but not limited to alcohol, cigarettes or e-cigarettes will not be permitted. Students will not be permitted to leave the centre in the evenings under any circumstances without teacher/instructor supervision. In the event that any student is found in serious breach of the school rules, her parent/guardian will be expected to make arrangements for her immediate return home.
The cost of the trip is €230, which includes meals, accommodation, all activities and transport costs from the school. As you are likely to have already paid a deposit of €100, I would be grateful if you could pay the balance due of €130 before Friday 4th March. This can be done through Easy Payments Plus on our school website at www.olschool.ie. If you are experiencing issues with online payment, please contact me or the school bursar as soon as possible to arrange alternative payment methods.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must give permission below for their daughter to partake in the trip. This can be submitted online via the app.
I will be in contact with you with final arrangements nearer to the departure date.
Should you have any queries regarding the trip, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
Lyndsey Phelan

The OLS Community Tree

Today our 5 th year Amber flag members put the final touches to our OLS Community Tree. As you will
see each class is represented on the tree by a leaf in their house colour. Staff and the Amber Flag
committee are also represented with colourful leaves. The tree and our school community are
upheld by the core values which can be seen in the roots of the tree.
The Amber Flag committee works to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. Their work is
represented by the uplifting quotes on the remaining leaves. We hope this will brighten everyone’s
day as they pass by.
A huge well done must go to Róisín Evoy C5 who came up with the idea of the mural and has led the
project. We are very proud of the work of the 5 th year Amber Flag group ( Mary Byrne, Caoilin
Dunne, Erin Murray, Aimee Moran, Caitlin & Róisín Evoy). Well done also to the other students in 5 th
year who generously gave their time to help with drawing and painting the tree too.

We are delighted to announce that Our Lady's School has been awarded a €150,000 Sports Capital Grant by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and the Media. This will contribute, in part, towards the construction of our eagerly anticipated state of the art sports dome providing world class facilities including three full size basketball courts, two futsal pitches and an all purpose sports pitch. There will also be changing rooms, a sports office and a dedicated PE seminar room. These additional facilities will also enhance mental and physical wellbeing for the community.
We would like to thank our Board of Management and the Religious of Christian Education congregation for their commitment and dedication to this innovative project which will offer our students access to a top of the range sports facility.
