Tonight, between 6pm and 7pm, one of our teachers, Ms. Creaven will be part of a panel discussing women's soccer, on 2FM.
Why not tune in!
Today, both RTE & TG4 visited our school to see the excellent work being done on Leaving Certificate Computer Science.
Watch our girls and Ms. Coll chatting to reporters, on TG4's Nuacht at 5:40pm & 7pm and on RTÉ's news, Six One.
#girlsinSTEM #taylorsgirls!
Reminder, the school will be closed tomorrow for one day due to staff training. School will reopen as usual on Wednesday.
Thank you in advance for working with our school to ensure that our students use their phones and mobile devices correctly and within our school rules. These rules are displayed on page 11 of the girls’ school journal.
From Monday, we will be focusing on ensuring that our girls spend less time on their phones and avoid any distraction to their learning and wellbeing. Students will not be allowed to carry their phones around during the school day and they will be locked in their school locker. Please check with your daughter that she has a padlock for her locker and that she is clear on the school rules in relation to phones.
As always, contact between students and parents is facilitated through the main school office. Please ensure that you do not message your daughter during the day for any reason, and reinforce with her that phones are turned off throughout the school day.
Thank you again for your continued support.
Well done to 2nd Year student Kate Barrett, who as part of the U14 Girls Galway Soccer team, won the Interleague National Cup final at the University of Limerick against Cork on Saturday.
The team won on a score line of 4-1, and Kate scored a vital goal.
A great day for Galway Girls soccer. Well done Kate.
This week, we said a sad goodbye to a valued member of staff. Mrs. Mary Moylan passed away on
Sunday the 12th March surrounded by her loving family. Mary was a Guidance teacher in Dominican
College since 2019 and worked very hard for all of the students under her care. She was a lady with a
big heart filled with kindness, compassion and time for everyone. She will be sadly missed by staff
and students in Dominican College. May Mary's gentle soul rest in peace.
Congratulations to Jamila Salif & Success Irorere who participated in the Tight Spaces project which explored growing up in direct provision.
It was launched this weekend and it was an incredibly insightful & moving experience.
Well done girls.
