Attendance - New recording process for Parents & Guardians

Going forward the school will be streamlining our attendance, so we will no longer require paper notes (from the student journal), emails or phone calls to the office regarding attendance. This information will now be submitted by Parents & Guardians through the school App. It is very important that all Parents & Guardians become familiar with this process on the App so that we maintain correct attendance information for your daughter. Please see the attached video and PDF that can guide you on submitting your attendance notes. If you are experiencing any difficulty using the App or submitting a note, please email support@uniqueschools.ie vimeo.com/743670941 The School App provides a centralised platform for the digital submission and processing of your notes and allows Parents & Guardians to submit information for the following three categories, which you will find listed in the options on the App. Absence Form: To inform the school that your daughter will not be attending school on a particular day(s). Late Note: To inform the school that your daughter will be late arriving at school on a particular day(s). Permission To Leave: To inform the school that your daughter needs to leave the school early on any given day. This request will be reviewed by the school. Parents will receive a personal notification to confirm approval. Please note that students must strictly adhere to the sign out procedure in the school. Students will present themselves at the office and confirm that you have submitted a 'permission to leave' note on the school App. You will then receive an alert notification to inform you that your daughter has signed out. As usual, Parents / Guardians must collect their daughters from the front of the school. Where possible, please ensure that you submit the appropriate attendance note before 08:30am (at the latest) to allow the school time to receive and process your form. Forms received after 08:30am may not be processed until the afternoon or the next morning. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in using this new resource. We are modernising our interactions with you in this area to ensure the correct recording of your daughter's attendance in school, and to make the process easier, faster and more secure for you. Kind regards, Cian O Doherty

Last week, 4/1 had a baking competition to raise money for the Rape Crisis Centre in Galway. It was very successful and they managed to raise €241. They had some guest speakers in from the center during Wednesday's YSI class where they presented the cheque to them. Well done girls and congratulations on raising well deserved funds for a worthy cause.
