Important Health and Safety Notice from St. Macartan's

Archived : 26 Jun 2019, 12:00 AM
In light of the ongoing works for the replacement of the Blackwater Bridge at the entrance to St. Macartan's College, Monaghan Co. Council has asked that in the interest of Health and Safety, St. Macartan's College would minimise in so far as is possible the number of students crossing the N2 from the College to the grounds of Circle K. In light of discussions with Monaghan Co. Council, the contractors and the school, students are reminded that they should proceed directly to the school each morning before class and under no circumstances cross the road to Circle K. After school, students who walk or cycle home will be facilitated in crossing the N2 at a designated and attended crossing point. This crossing point will be clearly marked. On crossing the road, students will not be in a position to cross back to school grounds. Parents who collect students from school are asked if possible to do so on school grounds. Additional parking for parents will be available at the rear of the school. Thank you all for your cooperation.

TY students Nikodem Kawonczyk, Adam Lambe, Josh O'Duibhne, Dean Conlon, James McKenny and Brendan Hamill achieved great success at our college's first participation in this event.
